I prefer coffee. I've cleaned battery terminals with coke before. Soak a cotton ball or rag in coke, wrap it around the corroded terminal, leave it for a few hours, then come back and wipe the corrosion off.

I've heard much of this as well. Cleaning blood up, especially. When I went vegetarian a year ago I also stopped drinking soda as well, and I noticed a huge difference with my physical performance at the gym and whilst doing various other activities. If you stop drinking soda long enough and then try to drink one, it doesn't taste as good as it once did. That's not only from own experience, but from that of a few friends who have done the same for health reasons.

Interesting, but completely yellow journalism. They act as if it works the same way cocaine and heroin work, but those actually change your dopamine receptors. Coke is the exact same as every soft drink on the market. They might as well write an article about what sugar and caffeine do to you. Besides, Coke comes in diet and non-caffeine kinds anyway.

ROFL @ Cold!! Thanks for thinking of me I'm addicted to Coke but that's because I love the taste. If I'm getting a Fountain Soda, I actually prefer Pepsi. In a can, Pepsi goes flat faster and it takes me forever to drink anything so that's REALLY important to me. I'm not a caffeine addict, surprisingly enough (Doctors have said so during some tests I had to take), and I drink caffeine free when it's cheap and available. Out of every can of Coke I drink, I normally only finish 1/3 or 1/2 of it before dumping it (cause it goes flat over the hours I have it open or it gets hot). I try bottle Soda from time to time, but it goes flat so fast lol. I waste a lot of money on Soda.

I quit drinking soda for health reasons about 3 years ago (well, occasionally I use it for mixed drinks ), and nowadays I simply do not like it. It's too sweet and it burns the mouth. Can't say I've noticed any differences at the gym, though.
