Thread: Has anybody happened to just bump into a Dream Views member somewhere?

I've briefly met two DVers a few years ago: Je33ica and MickeysElbow, who both don't hang out here any more as far as I know. I met Jess when I was in San Diego and MickeysElbow found a DV card that I'd left in a coffee shop on campus at UM.

I could also think of a number of people I would enjoy meeting. I intend to visit a few some day when I have time and money.....

I haven't met anyone from this forum, but I've met 2 people from another forum. It was cool and we had a great time.

I actually skipped out on a meet-up w/ Seeker and Howie in Cleveland before I lived up here--a very important music festival came up

I know there are at least a half dozen of us around town, but to my knowledge we've never crossed paths. Perhaps if they did recognize me, they would wisely reverse course before I launched in to an Extended Discussion.

I never just "bumped into" a DV member, but I met Seeker (and Howe) when he came up to visit (I think that's the same meeting Tao is refering to). I still hang out with Howie every now and then. Haven't heard much of Seeker lately . I've also had another DV member stay with me a few months.

Unlikely that ive ever seen one let anlone met them, I live in too small a town, but yea that would be totally awesome

Okay, the amount of coincidence here is just crazy.

Yesterday at 'work' (camping out on the mountain photographing a huge school group from around Tampa as they learned about cordage-making, rabbit sticks and how to use them, and native lore, then ate dinner and raised hell) in between cutting up with the counselors and taking the pictures, I 'just bumped into' a Dream Views member.

Actually, I'd better clarify; I didn't get his username here, because of various distractions and subject changes, and I'm not even positive he has a username, but we'd got to talking about knives, paracord, graphic design, and then web development, and I mentioned lucid dreaming. Yes, he'd heard of it, knew what it ws, practiced it. I asked if he'd ever heard of Dream Views, and the answer was yes! I told him that I had been an admin here until fairly recently, and was just about to ask his username when we got distracted and I had to go back to photographing the face-painting session.

It's just as well, really, because he was one of the kids there; a seventh grader of 13, though he seemed much more mature, I will say. So even if I'd gotten his username, I wouldn't have given it here. I did not get the chance to talk to him in any length again, unfortunately; he seemed like a pretty cool kid.

Anyway, pretty cool coinciddence if you ask me, seeing as I'd just seen this thread a couple days prior.

Yeah, it was pretty weird. To make it even crazier, he's also a member of another forum I frequent, and have been at even longer than I've been here (BladeForums).
