I'm getting moccasins o.o |
|
omfg i love moccasins, but they always seem to wear out too fast |
|
Anyone know of a place to get traditional moccasins online? Not ones with rubber soles or anything. |
|
I like not wearing shoes, only I never do it long enough to get calluses, so I usually cut my foot on something. |

White girl, you can ask her what the dick be like
And monster madness doing drive-bys on a fuckin fixie bike
Fuck it moron, snortin oxycontin, wearin cotton,
Oxymoron like buff faggots playin sissy dykes
Yeah, I'm currently wearing my favorite pair of shoes ever into the ground at around the one year mark, and they're not made anymore |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
Wow... that was a long read but very interesting |

I don't care what the article says, walking barefoot outside is 100% infeasible in a society where broken glass, rusty nails and various other health hazards are found literally all over the ground. I'd take poor "forefoot pathology" over catching Hepatitis from stepping on a nail any day. |

"Take atheism, for example. Not a religion? Their pseudo-dogmatic will to convert others to their system of beliefs is eerily reminiscent of the very behavior they criticize in the religious."
2 Days ago, I was outside pretty much all day. I went out at about 14:00, barefoot, I walked to my school to see how my classmates were doing at the exam. (I had to go to the exam the next day) After that, me and my friend basically just walked around all day. |

It's not just bad shoe design--sidewalks are a nightmare for feet, too. I know concrete is cheap and durable, but I'd rather walk on just about anything than a flat, rock-hard surface. I almost prefer broken-up sidewalk with dirt and weeds running through it, but best of all is packed earth in the woods. |

Well shellyboof bishop isn't going to let you over-egg this pudding!
Imagine how callous peoples feet were in ancient times. Even the native Americans must have had super callous feet that allowed them to walk over anything without feeling it too much. |
|
the reason your feet hurt so much is because they weren't used to walking so much with no shoes. |

That was a great article, all six pages. What I found most intriguing were these numbers: |

Great read. But what about our athletes? They are basically the best in the world and they train for hours a day with shoes on, doing things that probably add up pretty quickly in terms of leg/ankle/foot mileage. And they seem fine. |
|
Most of our best athletes aren't very old. Check out this quote from the article as well, page four: |
|
Great read, thanks for posting it! |

Heh, I suggest you all look at this website: http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/ |

I actually saw them on REI's website the other day, looking for Keen Newport H2s. |
|
Ah, well I definitely recommend them. Very fun to walk/run in. |
|
Nice, ACG. A pair of those would be sick, would be easy to strike up a convo with some chicks wearing a pair of those haha...I can imagine it now... |
|
Ah, yea. I usually tell girls they're my superhero shoes, and that I'm just taking a break from my superhero duties. Works like a CHARM haha. |
|
Are they any good as street shoes? They do look pretty cool. |

Yea definitely. I pretty much wear them wherever I go. You just have to get used to walking differently (which is beneficial). The only place I don't wear them is to bars because there's usually piss all over the floor in the bathrooms |
