God, I hate sunburn! I'm gonna peel tomorrow!

I've been baling hay ever since 1 P.M. today, and we just got the field done. Before that, I raked starting at 10 A.M. Noonday sun on one of the longest days of the year leaves me redder than this guy =>

If I was this shade on every other part of my body, I could pass for an Indi- sorry, Native American. But no! Sonnavabitchin' farmer's tan. No wonder nobody wants to see me at a pool.

Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow! Leather chairs really suck now. I suppose that this is what I have to go through to be called a "redneck." Skin cancer be damned, sunblock is for pussies! It's probably what's givin' everybody cancer anyway...

So, does anyone else feel as miserable as I do? Keep in mind that my house has no AC.

We had a plant a few years ago, but it musta outgrew its pot and got too big and scraggly. I wish that we still had it.

I'll use the next best thing then: jewelweed.

The first burn of the season is always like this. Gotta tan up so that the next isn't worse.

In the meantime, I'll go fill the bathtub with ice and sit until I shiver. Or at least, I wish I could.

Get one of those metal things to rub away at food on pots and rub your back with it. That's the American way.

I need to attempt to tan somewhat, I burn horribly. But because I don't go outside that much, it's usually not that bad.

I was out in the sun all day today. No shirt, working on my tan. I rarely burn due to my Italian genes.

Being hot is better than being cold.

I'll take this over -20 degrees anyday.

I beg to differ. It's hundreds of times easier to keep warm in cold weather than it is to keep cool in ball-scorching weather. You could say my German genes overpower my Mexican ones.

I'm primarily German and Irish, so I burn like a matchstick if I don't have a tan. My redheaded friend, though, burns if you so much as shine a flashlight on him.

Well, I must not be American then, because I prefer the plastic ones. I've got enough metal turnings sticking in my back already! I don't need any nonferrous ones that I can't pull out with a magnet!

True that. You can always shed layers in cold weather.

EditEdit: I've just noticed that I've got a pair of tan lines where the bridge of my glasses rest. Myopia for the win!
