You too. Ha ha, I am unphased by your bomb! |

How do you know you are not dreaming right now?
I've just completed a celebratory viewing of the movie, which DID NOT SUCK. Occasionally a million monkeys at a million typewriters get one right. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
Oh, then I will talk about the movie. Did you know that Jeff Goldblum died recently? |

Shittest movie I've ever seen, I don't believe American audiences stood up and clapped, it makes me nauseous. |

Yep. That's how it went, and that is a lot of why I think the movie is absolutely awful. However, you should have inserted "cheesy Hollywood one-liner" a few times in there and also "hokey goofy cringe moment meant to be taken seriously" several times to represent the long list of such instances. The ultimate cringe moment was when that lady saluted whoever it was with such a positive attitude. I cringe right now just thinking about it. And WTF is Will Smith doing being funny in a movie about an alien invasion? That is retarded. It alone is enough to destroy the movie. What urks me extra about Independence Day is that it could have been about the best movie ever if they hadn't Hollywooded it up so much. They took a phenomenal idea and top notch special effects and created something painfully pathetic. It might be the worst movie ever made. No, never mind "might be". It is official. Independence Day is the worst movie ever made. Ever. |

I tend to view it as an accidental allegory of the death of Modernism at the hands of a more eclectic and humanist Post-Modern world rising up and toppling it from beneath. |

Well, I there's a difference between a movie being passively bad, in the sense that the people who made it simply have no skill; and actively bad, in the sense that the people who made it are so idiotic and/or evil that the film causes physical discomfort to the viewer. |
