      1.) If it's conforming to my particular religious beliefs and ideals (even if I don't really agree with it or like it) then yes, I TRY to conform.

      2.) If it's conforming to what everyone else, or society at large, says MUST be done, then maybe. See #1

      To me, true nonconformity is doing what one desires despite what the pressures of the group desire them to do. In social situations, I do conform to an extent. When it comes to shaping my life and doing what I believe in, no, I never conform.

      I have proof of this. I joined JROTC despite the fact that most kids think it will make them look nerdy because JROTC kids have to wear uniforms one day per week. And then a year later, I threw away all my JROTC friends and changed schools knowing full well that, for the next couple of years, my social life would be irreparably damaged.
