      Is it okay to take 300mg of b6?

      Just for one day, then 50 mg a day until the weekend and have another high dose?
      I had 50 mg earlier today and wondering if I should take another 250, i want my dream to be as vivid as possible.

      Short answer: Nope

      Long answer:
      While 300mg for one day probably won't kill you, the highest you're going to want to go is 50mg. The RDI is between 1 and 2 mg of B6. Toxicity has been reported to be very likely in studies involving 50-200mg daily for long term use.

      300mg is likely to have no more effect than 50mg. While B6 is an enzyme, it relies on other chemicals in the body to work. 50mg is more than enough to get the full effect.

      So, if you don't want to waste your time and risk possible negative side effects, skip the extra B6. If you take 25-50mg a day you are getting more than enough to possibly enhance your dreaming.

      Okay then I guess I'll take 300 mg today for a dream experiment and take it easy with the rest.

      You probably shouldn't take B6 very often, but I say go for around 150mg for one night, just to see what happens. It's the extended periods of overdosing that you have to watch out for, since the concentration of B6 in your body builds up over time. Like Vertebrate said, the recommended daily amount is only a few milligrams, so even 50mg is a very high amount to be taking daily.

      After a certain amount of b6 is reached/ingested, it will do absolutely nothing, so anything higher than 50mg will do nothing other than be toxic to your body, and thus, do NOT try it. 50mg is actually the max and might be dangerous depending on your age... I would only take 25 at most and do it a few days apart. Not to mention, taking that much will eventually make you resistant to it and then it will work even less <.<
