      Binaural Beats

I have recently become really fascinated with the concepts behind binaural beats.

While doing so, I have also become slightly skeptical. I have tried to find some sort of evidence or facts behind binaural beats online, but there is very little research behind them. I used a binaural beat last night to help me relax, and it worked pretty well.

I see all these other ones, though, for things other than relaxing. Some apparently help you focus, some help you perform better, some help enhance your long term memory recall, others help you lucid dream. The list is endless. But I am curious to find out how many of these actually work.

Has anyone here actually used binaural beats for one of these several reasons? (Other than just listening because you like the way it sounds)

Do you really think they can help with these things? Or are the people who claim that they do most likely just experiencing a sort of placebo effect.

      Thoughts?

I tried it at the recommendation of another member on this forum, I would not recommend using the delta wave frequencys of Binaural beats especially after my experience, (if your wanting to dream you dont want that frequency anyways) But i think for the most part, you have to find out for yourself how it works, There is another form of Binaural beats, i cant recall the name but, its a more specific way of doing the exact same thing with alot more precision and effectiveness(and doesnt require headphones or precision surround sound. but i think its still experimental. I think your best bet if your curious is to find frequencys that are claimed to do things and give them a try, placebo effect or not, If they give you the results you want, then congratz.
