      Interesting Binaural Android App

I've been using the free android app called 'Binaural Beats Therapy - beta', by Giorgio Regni, and for a free app, it's very good. I thought I'd share my experiences with you. It's a bit buggy, but it's good enough to get the job done.

So I started off by using the 'Self Hypnosis' preset, which is 20 minutes long and is perfect for a nap. I find when I nap I always end up either groggy or not sleeping at all; when I use this preset I tend to wake up much more refreshed.

Recently the app was updated with a Lucid Dreams preset, which is a 44 minute track (not sure why it's 44) with '5hz base with 8hz spikes'. So I used this while napping, and ended up having two lucid dreams in the space of 20 minutes. Considering I never ever get lucid dreams during my short daytime naps, I'd say this is a success. I'll keep using it and I'll post any more experiences I have.

So, has anyone else tried it? If not, I recommend you give it a go. I'm hoping it's not a placebo and that it's actually working, so I'd appreciate any other stories

This is very, very interesting to me. I have said for a long time that this wouldn't work. I hope that I am wrong and that it does work. I use an isochronic tone session purely for meditation that ramps down from 15 Hz down to 5 Hz over a ten minute period so I am well aquanted with this frequency. It is interesting the idea of inserting spikes that takes one abruptly and temporarily into the alpha range of 8 Hz. This is not a new idea though as scientists have found that a spike of 40 Hz does sometimes trigger OBE's.

I hope this has some validity and isn't an anomoly.

Either that or nobody wanted to try it. It seems to work for me, maybe I've been placebo'd.

Actually on reflection I think it may have worked for you if one of the 8 Hz spikes occured during a dream. But then again it could have been a normal lucid born out of your intent to have one. Shame the app doesn't work regularly.
