How is it different from nova dreamer or some others REM detectable masks?
My first impression was that, it looks very uncomfortable, but if it works as you say, than that's the main thing no matter what...

Good question. It's different from the expensive ones (Nova Dreamer) because it has more control options.

You're definitely right, though. Not as comfortable as a sleep mask, but mostly due to the weight. If you're not used to falling asleep with a sleeping mask on, that will present problems of its own.

This is not all any different from other Lucid sleep masks. On top of that it's big and looks very hard to fall asleep with. There is honestly no difference between this and all the other sleep masks out there. Just take a look at sleepwithremee.com it is the same thing as your mask,just less cheap and big. It allows you to customize all your sleeping adjustments that you can on yours.

Remee does not detect REM sleep and that's big different.

yes it does have you ever been to there website this is what it states: "During your sleep cycles, Remee flashes a series of customizable, recognizable light patterns via six rear facing LEDs. The lights aren't bright enough to wake you up, but, if you are dreaming, they can appear as visual anomalies in your dreams, helping the dreamer recognize the fact that they are dreaming, and become lucid." On top of that it has way more settings

OK and where is it saying that it will detect when you are in REM phase? REMEE can be just set up that way, that it will flash in intervals that you have to predict and setup as everybody has sleep cycles in similar length.
Those two guys who have designed remee said that they will begin working on second version with REM detection.

Remee will wait for an initial long delay, usually 4-5 hours, until you're in the heart of the heavy REM stages, before initializing light patterns. After the initial long delay Remee will display light patterns for 15-20 seconds with a second shorter delay, default at 15 minutes, between each signal. During non-REM sleep the lights are unlikely to effect you, but if you're in REM sleep the lights will bleed into your dreams, presenting a perfect chance to become lucid.

A pity- I'd think for that price they'd be able to deliver some REM detection feature. I can't find an IR sensor or some kind of muscle/electrical/brainwave sensor on the thing from their demo videos, either. Might as well make a cheap $10 version of the one I linked to above (with the attiny microcontroller)
