List of (FREE) iPhone apps + discussion

      Hello! I'm currently using:

Dream:ON: based on your movements, it assumes if you're awake, asleep or in deep sleep. Using that information, it plays a sound to have influence over you and your dream, to help you have a lucid dream. While very interesting, it's obviously not accurate. Personally, I've been using it for almost two weeks and have had no luck with it, so I'm actually getting rid of it tonight. But it might work on others, so give it a try, you never know.

RealityCheck: you get a notification, telling you to check whether or not you're dreaming. It's simple and you can choose the minimum and maximum interval between alerts. In theory, it's good enough to create the habit of doing reality checks, but I'm not sure yet if I'm happy with it. Been only using it for two days, though.

I was looking for new apps and I've found some interesting ones:

Dream-Control: it says it helps you "monitor your sleep cycle" and, after a few nights, it creates your "sleeping profile" "finds the perfect time for dream control". It'll play sounds that you've chosen when said perfect time is reached. EDIT: apparently, the only free part of it is the alarm... you only get the cool features if you pay for it. So bye, Dream-Control.

Dream Control - Analyze & Influence Your Night: basically, the same as the other one. It helps you with your sleep cycle, creates sleep profiles and plays sounds at "the right time". EDIT: it looks EXACTLY like Dream-Control, including the "you can only use this feature if you pay for it" thing.

Dream Control Pro: it plays binaural music AND "Dr. Miller's soothing narration", which "guides you through the doorway to the power of your conscious mind". EDIT: it won't open on my phone. Maybe it hasn't been updated to work on iPhone 5?

Dream Signs: it tells you to check if you're dreaming, helping you remember to do reality checks. There are tips and suggestions for what to do if you find yourself in a dream. EDIT: you have to get the upgrade to get the notifications, so... bye, Dream Signs. I'm going back to RealityCheck.

I think I'll start with Dream-Control... and, of course, I will keep this thread updated!

      More:

Lucid Dreamr Alarm Clock Control Your Dreams, Sleep Cycles And Astral Projection: it "wakes you up in increments with a gentle alarm". It "interrupts" the dream during REM phase. EDIT: it opens and, apparently, it works. You can't edit the "phase times" (I'm guessing you can only do that with the upgrade - which you have to pay for), but that's not too bad. Worth a try, maybe? We'll see. EDIT 2: it had a "1" on it, like a notification, and it just would NOT go away. I'm a little OCD about that, so I'm getting rid of it.

DreamZ Lite - Remember Your Dreams: its goal is to help you with dream recall. Based on your movements, it'll assume in which sleep phase you're in. EDIT: it also opens and also, apparently, works.

I'll try Lucid Dreamr first, at least for a few days. EDIT: got rid of it because the "1" notification thing that would not go away was seriously bothering me.
