Thread: Adrafinil and Modafinil

Anyone tried using these as lucid aids? They are most certainly nootropics and arguably the most effective I have ever used. Modafinil (Provigil) requires a prescription to take, but adrafinil is unscheduled in the US and you can order it off of amazon for cheaper than most galantamine supps. Adrafinil is merely a prodrug (inactive on its own) that is metabolized to modafinil in the liver. It is a wakefulness promoting agent, but still very easy to go to sleep on, unlike caffeine and from what I've read, galantamine. It's effects while awake are feeling less need to sleep (tiredness simply vanishes or is diminished), better concentration, and memories are easier to recall and if you normally have a cloudy brain or have a hard time finding words sometimes, it nearly cures that, you are just all around more mentally sharp and on top of things. I haven't been able to reliably practice LDing in a very long time, so I can't say I've tried it and gotten any results, but perhaps someone else on the board has? Let me know what you think. If you search adrafinil it doesn't give you a very good idea how the drug works, modafinil produces better results. Here is the wikipedia page for Modafinil.
