      New book on dream aids

There is a new book just published that will be of interest to many of the readers on this site. It's entitled "Drugs of the Dreaming, Oneirogens: Salvia Divinorum and other Dream enhancing Herbs" by Toro and Thomas.

I just received my copy. It appears they did a very comprehensive job capturing summaries of just about any substance ever associated with the dream process. I would have liked to see some more experiential reports. It seems a little weak there. I'm still waiting for someone to publish a book that captures a set of herbs like this along with well documented controlled experiments to prove or disprove their value.

As I read through it I'll assess its value and write a more comprehensive review if warrented.

I've seen it before here: http://www.erowid.org/library/books/...dreaming.shtml

I would like to know if I am able to get it from a Dutch publisher so I don´t have to pay shipping costs.

Worth owning. But like I said, I would have preffered some more experimental data and discussion. Essentially, it gives you some idea what the substance is about, perhaps a historic overview and rough explaination of pycho-active properties. I am glad I own it. I can imagine a lot of ways to improve it though.

Just read that one, he has tested very thoroughly. Although each individual is different the thread (DV) on Galamatine and Choline have great results. My supplements on their way, yeahhh!

Your search "Drugs of the Dreaming, Oneirogens: Salvia Divinorum and other Dream enhancing Herbs" did not match any products.

To Dodobird's request ... that is not going to be practical. They discuss at least 100 or so drugs. The approach is different than the "advanced lucid dreaming" text. In that book, the author develops a lot of info for a small number of drugs (half life info, precise mechanism by which it works - e.g. is it a precursor to a neurotransmitter, etc ...) In drugs of the dreaming, the treatment of each drug is brief. The write up on Salvia is only about 1.5 pages as I recall.
