Would anybody want me to do this?

I'm probably going to do this for myself, but if people are interested I will put it on my website.

I'm planning on writing a program that will remain dormant until a certain time then wake up and start playing subliminal mp3s. I will have it say things like "You are dreaming", "Do a reality check", "You are asleep"...

Since I planned to use it for myself I was going to make it hard coded, but if people are interested I'll make a GUI for it so that you can select the time that you want it to kick on (when you start your REM sleep) and what messages to play and maybe a feature to record your own messages.

That sounds like a useful thing to have kicking around here!

Last year, somebody wrote a "Lucid Clock" program that was really pretty slick. I did some beta testing with it, but it always just woke me up.

Sorry, I found what I wanted online. If anyone is interested it's called Alarm Clock 2 and it can be found on Apple's software website. Turn the EasyWake max level to fifty percent and use the Lucid MP3 that can be found on this forum. I have mine set to start at 4:00AM.

Windows/Linux users, I might still write that program, but until then sorry.

You know what works well? Make a series of super low quality BLANK MP3's that simply play nothingness for 4 hours, then have your fav lucid track on the other end of the play list. ( Well you can adjust the 4 hours your own way. )

You need to remember not everyone has a PC next to their bed.

I'm writing a free, cross platform, audio LD induction software right now, and I'll probably have the first version posted in a few days.

      cheers!

I agree and like that idea. You could even just have one "blank" CD (recorded with the input muted). Near the end of a second CD, you have the message/audio. Then, if you've got a CD player that will allow you to program by choosing disc playback sequence, you just program for disc one to repeat so many times than play disc 2.

But, multiple "blanks" will to the job just as well.

Wait... Why would you have an entire blank CD? You'd have to wake up to switch the CDs!

      You'd need a changer-type CD player.

But, you actually have a very valid point. All you'd really need is a single CD with two tracks: one long one that's blank (which you'd repeat many times if you wanted a long delay before the audio kicks in) then a shorter track with the audio.

I was wondering if anyone could design an EEG Lucid Dreaming Induction Device. You see I've been having a lot of difficulty with the Nova Dreamer and DreamMaker Mask because of the annoying flashing lights that wake me up when it detects REM. I was hoping to find a manufacture to build a device such as this: An EEG sensor helmet attached to the hard drive with USB inputs and I would be wearing a single foamed ear piece as the output. What I'm hoping it will do is wait till I'm asleep to detect my REM Brainwaves or Dream State Brainwaves (not detecting my eye movements). At the moment of detection a recorded voice (through the ear piece output) will say "Your Dreaming Morgan, Your Dreaming". And at anytime I loose lucidity the voice will automatically play again.
If it's possible that you or your company could help me in this and if you can't please direct me to someone who will. I have exactly $300.00 to spend on this with my credit card so please keep it as simple and inexpensive as possible, Thank You!

I just set up a 10 munite silent track (and a 10 minute track with a .8 second fragment of an Evanescence song at the end), then set up a playlist with the blank track 6*number of hours, then whatever sound i'm trying to play to test LD effects. Takes up less memory than a 4 hour silent track, and you can use it without taking up too much space on an MP3 player (you have to have a playlist-compatible MP3 player or a computer near your bed to do this, though).

I've been listening to your lucid mp3s, and I would definitley like this program as well. I think that It would help out tremendously. I listen to the mp3 from my computer, since I don't have a CD player in my room, and the file is larger than what I want to put on my ipod.
