i would really like to try this, i think it sounds like a really good idea. The only problem is that i work with Fruity Loops 6 and a couple of external VSTI kits such as FM8 and Eridol Orchestra.

I'd be interested. I don't have any kind of home recording setup, but I can use my schools recording studio whenever, I just have to drag all my shit up there. We've got reason 4 , digital performer and a few other programs. I play guitar, piano and a few other things.

Perhaps There's an option for converting Fruityloop files into WAV files.
Also Reason 4 is easy to get. Easy to work with.

I made a really nice ambient sound with Reason 4 just now. Of a forrest with crickets, birds and owls, swamp sounds, mysterious sounds. Just like a magical forrest by night. The mysterious sound is a sample of a submarine I added occasionally. It sounds like a forrest spirit or something. Then a storm, rain and some thunder.

I could pass the Reason 4 File on to anyone who ahs Reason 4 and is interrested in making it longer by adding the next part to it. Like telling a nonverbal story.
I can convert the Reasonfile into WAV or MP3 files also if that's workable for anyone without reason 4?

i'd be interested in doing this, i've been playing guitar for 5 years and i play alot of melodic heavy metal, but i love to play slow clean music and do my own trance like music. I think it'd be really good.
I've got my own recording software on here for wav and mp3 files.

My band is on myspace but we've only got an instrumental teaser for one of our songs.
We play heavy metal, but it's an example for ya.

I especially liked "the Waiting". Did you write it note for note(The Violins) or did you sample it from an existing classical violin piece? If so can you send me either your song(WAVpreferably) or the original classical violin piece? Because I find it really lends itself for improvisation and in my head I allready had a great alternative version with Low Cello-bass going aswell as a mighty cool Reggae-style alternative with guitar accents and fat, deep bass.

Please allow me to work my magic on this melody.


Juicyfruit, if you can play some slow, dreamy guitar pickings, clean or with alot of reverb and/or delay and record that, maybe at one point we could put it into the track. ATM I have my accoustic nylon string guitar here so I could record some guitar too. We could play some guitar, electrical and accoustical, together perhaps.

Thusfar I have Ambient Sound effects of a forrest, then of a thunderstorm and rain and then of a swamp. I imagine we could put in some mysterious guitarpickings/melodies there somewhere.

Hey if you PM me your MSN adress I can send it via MSN messenger. Or your Gmail adress if it can handle Reason 4.0 Files.

I have the forrest-storm-Swamp reason file made of Sampler's Sound FX, which is suitable for sleeping on and helfull in visualisation. I can send you that to work with for the Lucid Dream Aid MP3.

I also have a couple of other files, reggae, ska and rocksteady loops, some loungy some trancy loops. If you want to do other musical collaborations that'd be cool too.


Anyone else who has Reason 4 PM me your MSN adress or Gmail adress so we can pass on Reason files and add more sounds, ambient melodies, basses, beats..etc to the track. As long as it stays a track suitable to sleep on.

Got the hardware for it too, and i know how to use it duh.

hey i use mostly Ableton Live with a bunch of different vst's; but i can also use reason 4.0.

I can get it started on it asap. i just want to know what the feel of the song should be.

It will probably take forever before i get to work on it. Im just going to start my own track; i got some ideas that will sound really good.

this is completely off topic; but about a month ago i had a dream, and in that dream i remember hearing one of tupacs songs at a friends house (this was a regular dream btw). When i woke up the song was still kinda playing in my head, and i remember thinking "i never heard this song before". So i then turned off my alarm and went on with my day

I feel like an idiot because i never wrote the dream down, nor did i record myself humming the song. So now i kinda made a promise to myself, if i dream about a song; first thing im gonna do is record myself humming or singing it. then im going to try to remake it.

So stoned ape is probably not gunna work on my Reason 4 track soon. Haven't seen em online here in a while.
In the meantime I made a bunch of new loops. Really mystical, easygoing loungy music suitable for dreampurposes.

So if anyone else wants to let me know and PM me your email adress or MSN adress so I can send it.

Ska, the file you sent me won't open in reason. It says the are a bad format. Sorry I didn't say this sooner, but I didn't find out until earlier tonight. I've been busy with exams and other things.

Send me another copy if you can think of what might be causing the bad format. Or maybe send it to someone else and see if it works for them. I'm done with school for the semester now, so if you can send me something I'll have time to work on it.

I play bass guitar, violin and my voice isn't too shabby I guess so if you need any help don't hesitate to ask!

I've sent you a Reason 4 file. Don't see why it wouldn't work.
I could also send people Wav files if they don't have Reason 4.

I have some files I can send to those that PM me their mail or MSN adress.
