I've tried a few binarual beat CD's. I started out with the Hemi Sync Meditation CD. I've went into two dreams from a waking state with this one so far, WILD's. Unfortunately both were extremely short because in the first one I was going towards a stack of boxes as I entered the dream and in the second one I tripped on a uneven part of a side walk just after entering the dream, and woke up. I've also seen flashes of light while listening to this CD. If I listen at bedtime I will usually fall asleep. I've not yet tried looping it though.

I also just recieved yesterday two CD's from Brainwave Mind Voyages, The Lucid Dream Cycle CD, and the Astral Trance CD. The Lucid Dream Cycle CD has 4 tracks. You are supposed to pick the one you like and loop it all night. I listened for a while last night, not looping. I saw some flashes of extremely bright white light at the bottom of my field of vision, not sure what the light is. But I was having difficulty falling asleep so I stopped listening, will try again.

I tried the Astral Trance CD this morning straight through, it is over an hour long. It has some tracks that are designed to be looped as you sleep. It is verbally guided and has a good relaxation part of the CD that I believe put me into sleep paralaysis but I came out of it during the part where you are actually suppossed to leave your body. When the CD was over I felt very relaxed, so I beleive these can work.

I'm sure there are many more good binarual beats out there.

I just got an app on my iphone that gives several beats from high learning to stress relief to deep sleep and lucid dreams. I start out with the stress relief and go from there to relaxation then to lucid dream. 10 minutes each when im just sitting here at my computer. Now, I've only tried it once but last night I had 3 vivid dreams... never before in my life has that happened. Im going to try again tonight, skip tomorrow then try again then next night and see what happens.

Thanks for the file! It's taking me 7 minutes to download it lol but I hope it will be well worth it
I have several apps for my iPod Touch which I love. But it's never produced any lucid dreams thus far.

      Jailbreak?
Anyways, keep posting reports.. I'll try to make a different file with a little different hz difference.

I also tried lucid dream from iDoser, but I listened to about 3/4 of it. Didn't work, kept me awake. If you plan to use that one only use for >10 minutes

Sorry I lost this thread. I do indeed have that one! I have all sorts of sleep apps for my iPod... I have: MindWave, BinauralBeat; MindFreak; and MindMachine. So far, I think I like MindWave best.
The regular ones are: aSleep; iChillout; ER Ultimate and iMoods.

If anyone ever saw my iPod they'd conclude I have sleep problems and love playing video games because that's about the only thing I have on it except for some practical apps Notebook, Journal, Period tracker, mileage tracker and knot guide

I've been so frazzled as of late that I haven't even opened the files I got from here yet. I'll have to do that tomorrow.
Right now even the binaural beats are grating on my nerves

      **Edit**
I don't jailbreak my device- too terrified to. I get them from the Apple App Store.
I bought 3 others last night which seem intereting: AtmoHear; AmbiSci BP and Healing. I let y'all know how I like them.

      How Binaural Beats Work

I know this is an old post but I have a response to this anyway.
Binaural beats help with lucid dreaming in that they are said to create theta brain waves and delta brain waves. Theta waves are associated with dreaming, so these waves are created by the "third ear" which is the brain's automatic response to the two frequencies that are inputed into each ear. So the lucid dreaming binaural beat is meant to highten the brain frequencies to theta to increase awareness.

However, in all honesty, the binaural beat hasn't helped me either and I too end up remaining awake and unable to fall asleep. I hope this was/is helpful.

If you're REM dreaming, you're going to be in theta anyway. As I've discovered, the purpose of binaurals is to get as high in theta as possible, or even into alpha/beta. Some find it works but it tends to just keep me awake by jolting my awareness just as I'm about to drift off. Even this is useful, as if I awake constantly and am thinking about dreaming, when I finally get to sleep I'll usually recognise I'm dreaming instantly.
