      iPod WBTB File

So I got inspired for an idea last nite after reading about how good it is for lucidity purposes to wake up after 4 1/2 hours and do a WBTB, and then wake up 90 minutes after that, and 90 minutes after that.
I have an alarm clock right near my bed, but for some reason, the last two times I did that, I must have not heard it and my parents had to come in to shut off the alarm clock lol, they were not too pleased about that. So since then, I had not want to do that since it would make my parents up.
An inspired thought hit me (which probably isnt new but ill still give it a try). I'm going to make an mp3 thats going to be like, 9 hours long for instance, and then at specific points in the length *at 4 1/2 hours, at 6 hours, and at 7/12* i will put in like alarm clock like sounds. I even thought of as to put in randomly throughout the mp3 cues from my own voice like "do a reality check" or "are you dreaming", stuff like that.
The file wouldnt include any other audio, in case other people have a hard time falling asleep with the audio. I might make a playlist also on the iPod that has one of those 30 minute lucid audio files you listen to before you go to sleep, and then my 9 hour long file.
There will also be other versions like, 5,6,7,8,9,10 hour ones possibly.
Adding this to a routine of daily reality checks, supplements, MILDs, WILDs, and WBTBs, should surely increase a chance of having a lucid dream

If anyone is interested in this being a good possible resource for Dreamviews, please reply and I can make default ones to put in this main post or try to make personal ones for people who have iPods or mp3 players

I thought about something similar to this as well. However, imho it would be much more efficient to create a playlist, make an mp3 of 5 or 10 minutes of silence, repeat it as needed, and insert the wakeup sounds between those, rather than playing one solid 9-hour mp3. It'd definitely save hard drive space.

oh yea for sure, thats the luxury of having a playlist feature for iPods. im just saying your still adding your the hard drive space for all those seperate files you know. But it does make sense if you want to mix it around a bit. I'm just trying to see if anyone has tried something like this.

I use the alram clock feature on my ipod - you can set it to play a play list rather than make a noise. I have a playlist with the LucidInduction track you can find fia the Lucid Aids link here. I set the alarm to go off 4.5 hrs after the time I go to bed. I use a headband to keep the buds in.

LOL - so far it wakes me up with out fail. Only been trying it about a week and a half so far and I dont use it at weekends as I like to WBTB/WILD.

I started with the volume about mid way and have been turning it down every night - im trying to get to the point where I hear it in my dream to trigger lucidity - but not so loud that I think "WTF is That!"

The last two nights I was kind of on the cusp - I became aware of it while dreaming - I acutally remember the point at which I heard it "in dream" - but still woke. Will try on an even lower volume next week.
