      Most vivid lucid ever last night

      I've never had a dream this vivid before but i literally had to wake myself up in the middle of it just to make sure it wasnt real. I seemed to do nothing out of the ordinary to cause this except that I had a slice of Cheesecake Factory's Snickers cheesecake before bed. Maybe there is something in it that increases vividness. Anyway Im gonna eat it again tonight and see if I get the same results and then post it here tomorrow.

      Can someone name other foods or supplements that are supposed to increase vividness? Id really appreciate it.

      Cheese does actually increase vividness of dreams due to the B vitamins it contains. Any kind of B vitamins, especially Choline Bitartrate will make your dreams more vivid, as well as some other supplements like melatonin and 5 htp, but I've found B vitamins to work the best.

      If you post it in the threat lucid experiences, you might as well post the experience, otherwise it would fit better at lucid aids IMO
      What's the difference between dreaming that you're lucid and lucid dreaming?

      I had an extremely vivid LD where everything was as clear as if it were real too. the only downside is that it seems so real that nothing works - no flying, no fireballs, nuffin. did you have the same problem too?

      Last night it happened to me. I decided to perform some tests .. experiment. I remembered the reading thread here so I again verified that yes I could read and after looking away verify that text changed. I tried that several times.

      I played around feeling different textures even cloth and they all felt exactly like real life. I pushed my finger in my hand for the first time ever and it did not go through it. I spent the most time simply looking at the sky, the moon, the surroundings. It was eerie how it was completely impossible for me to differentiate between the dream scenery and the real world. No wonder some people have a hard time becoming lucid. It looked EXACTLY like real life.

      This dream was different because during it I felt like I was 100% lucid; able to remember everything that happened before falling asleep while at the same time objectively perform all these experiments in dream world.

      I didn't get around to the taste test or the music test but I was finally able to do limited flying by remembering tips posted on this board. Hopefully I can perform more tests soon. Perhaps the mere act of doing that enhances your lucidity and lengthens the experience.

      Yes indeed, food definitely does affect your dreams, in fact one of my friends a long time ago told me that he had a sex dream, and i asked him what he ate and he said, "a candy bar". So it seems like sweet can induce sex dreams. The other poster was right about the cheese thing.

      Any excuse to eat cheesecake in bed, right?

      What was your dream about?

      Check out the lucid aids forum for some good tips on supplements;
