I can't help not believing that stuff like this works. I wish to see some scientific evidence if there's any or something scientific to back it up. |

The other techniques are frustrating me too much at the moment. So I've looked up binaural beats and such things, and am just curious. I have always been pretty moved by music and I think it might help me. |

There's scientific evidence that binaural beats entrain your brain to primarily function within specific wavelengths. I don't know if there is any evidence that links it to attaining lucidity though. |

here, I'll drown you in scientific evidence |

That was a good link, very informative. |

Thanks for the link, it was an interesting read |

typically all mp3 players and headphones play in stereo by default. Really the only thing that determines it is weather or not the audio file is in stereo. However, you can be 100% sure with binaural beats alone. If you listen to one ear at a time, it should be a straight tone, but with both you will hear a third, it's hard to describe but you will know if you're hearing it or not, sounds almost like a slow vibrato in the tone. |

All stereo is, is a way for one ear to hear one thing while the other ear hears something completely different. Your ears determine whether something is in front of you by how clear it sounds and behind you by how muffled it is. This is called tone. Then by making something louder on one side, and slightly muffled, they can make something sound like it is behind you to your left and so on. In binaural beats instance, they give you, say a tone at 500 Hz in the right ear and 507.5 Hz in the other ear, creating an offset of 7.5 Hz, Low alpha, high delta. I've been trying it, but my head phones get to uncomfy and so I take them off. Right now, I am listening to subliminal music and about to take a nap to see how well it works. My night pills for BP and anxiety make me really drowsy so it will be to my benefit anyway and I forgot to take them last night (too caught up in this lucid dreaming). |

Ah, I can hear the difference in the headphones easily (I have a pretty good ear). |
