well they do say that dmt is what makes us dream at night, its probably what triggered the lucidity.

It is even assumed that N,N-DMT creates our regular reality.

While those results sound fantastic, I would be care about taking really high amounts of it

As Ska has explained, a low dose of DMT is nothing like a high dose. In discussing a higher dose DMT experience, he said it is "like riding a scud missile into a black hole, in terms of intensity."

I sorta had a lucid dream from DMT... except not really.


What happened was in my dream I smoked some DMT and then that DMT trip turned into a dream within the dream and because I thought that I was on DMT, I was aware that this was not a waking state and I had FULL control over everything. Ended up racing around a gorgeous canyon (flying of course) .


Perhaps I'll try a small hit before bed one of these days.

DMT is not something to mess around with. I've heard DMT likened to completely erasing your hard drive and uploading a new one. Great...but...a lot of people are not ready for it.

Never tried, however I'm inclined to believe that taking DMT within the dream would help just as much, as you know how big of a role expectations play in dreams.

Isn't DMT what's in Nyquil? I used to have a page about it in the Sticky, but I took it out, I forget why.

It's not legal, (although the plants that contain it for the most part are in the U.S.) and he smoked it.

Yes I was thinking of salvia, of which DMT is the major component...

Did it twice, unlike other psychedelics I felt like I was being tested.

All I can say is: I didn't know who, where, or what I was. All thoughts were long gone....very hard experience to describe. When I came to, I was looking at my hand....but just moments before the idea of "hand" didn't exist in my mind....what I had been looking at just before looked nothing like a hand...completely abstracted. Kinda showed me how powerful the mind is at interpreting and organizing information from the external world.

Never tried DMT (in pure form, smoking or pill form...do they even have that??)...but I hear it is the exact same chemical released in the brain during birth and death.

I didn't think Salvia or DMT had anything to do with one another, what do you mean major component?

Also, DMT exists in the brain, is released during sleep. Possibly death and birth but I've also heard that is just a theory and has not been proven.

There are a lot of misconceptions in this thread.

Dimethyltryptamine is a psychedelic in the tryptamine family that is synthesized naturally in the brain and spinal chord, as well as in many species of plants.

Salvia Divinorum is a plant in the salvia genus that contains the psychedelic salvinorin A.

NyQuil contains DXM, or dextromethorphan which in high doses can have similar effects to PCP.

Of the 3, DXM is by far the most dangerous, especially since it is usually taken in the form of a cough medicine that contains multiple other ingredients, which will cause severe liver damage in the even of an over dose.

Remember, there is to be no discussion of the methods used to take drugs on dreamviews.

True, im just repeating what I've heard.... by major component I mean active ingredient....as far as im aware it is the chemical in salvia that gives the effect.

Yep Yep Yep... I dont recommend it for people who don't like being out of control. I dig (well I should say use to...) psychedelics a lot, but this one was by far the strongest I've come up against. Even mushrooms and LSD have a "test" period at the begining where you kinda have to gather yourself if you want to use the experience in any kind of purposful way.

Didn't see your post until last...hmm guess I was wrong about DMT being in salvia...do DMT salvinorin A and DXM have similar effects??
