Smile My first lucid - Boring but yet amazing

So about 2-3 days after reading about lucid dreaming and trying out different techniques to obtain one; I had one. My regular dreams are always reeeeally vivid (hence the nickname)

PS: I'll colour the normal dream RED and lucid BLUE.

So I'm out in this desert doing the usual stuff. You know, fighting fugly monsters with magic alongside my friends (I usually have a lot of friends involved in my dreams). After battling my enemies in what seems to be a over thirty minutes long battle, I get thrown to the ground by a swarm of killer bees. When I get up on my feet again, I'm outside a grocerystore close to where I grew up. The fucked up thing, and what gets me to realize that this could very well be a lucid dream, is that I just moved about 250 MILES from home recently. So I take a look at my hands AND IT'S ON! They are really fucked up! I get really excited and decide to enter the store and go to the storage to spawn something awesome. I read that you must let your eyes wander so that you don't focus to much on one thing, because that will make you wake up. So I did. But when I reach the storage, I am so excited. I felt this insane rush and knew I was about to wake up becaue I was too excited...

      So there you have it.

It might seem fantastically boring to you, but to me it was a really amazing experience.

I have had lucid dreams before, but back then I didn't know I could take so much control. I just went with the flow kind of..

Considering starting a dream journal here

      I'll stop blabbering now...

      Welcome to DVs..

      Congratulations on your first LD,

After you start a DJ, you'll notice that both your Dream Recall, and the Vividity of your LDs will begin to increase...

You can stabilise a dream by rubbing your hands, staring at them, being aware of your surroundings, spinning and many other stuff.. You can increase your dream control easily as well, by just believing that you can do the things you want to do.. And also by understanding that your surroundings are all in your head and under your control..

      Thanks!

I heard a while back on the radio that some study had been done: If you sleep in a room with cool\low temperature, you are more likely to recall your dreams. Any truth to this?

      Off to dreamland!
