I look at the entire dream as communication. The DG is constructed for perhaps psychological need. I met what is called a DG once, it was because I had a temper tantrum about learning visual metaphor. I wanted simple english. It was after the temper tantrum my DG came to me, set me down and asked me just one question. "What do you feel about your progress." That one question crushed me and I woke up crying. Personally, I am ashamed at how slow and stupid I am. Secondly, since when is it up to the student to set learning goals and benchmarks? I was spoiled and stupid. |

Pay no mind to philosopher. He's a pretty big nut job. |

That is very interesting. It is a bit scary that the reality checks you normally use still work inside a dream, O_o It could possibly lead to not knowing which reality is actually real (inb4 Inception reference). |

I can read in dreams as well, depending on how vivid the dream is. The best solution to your problem would be finding a RC that works for you constantly. I've found counting my fingers works well for me, and almost everyone has luck with plugging their nose and trying to breathe. |

The converse is also true, the more you are aware in your dreams, the more you exercise reason, the more you do so while awake. In other words, lucid dreaming increases the time of mental exercise decreasing maturity time for certain mental processes. |

Philosopher's comments are somewhat less deliberately obfuscating this week. |
