My second Lucid - A DILD?

Since I'm majorly blanking, I need your help to determine if this is a DILD or not; I also want to share with you my happiness of having my second Lucid Dream.

I was in school, specifically in one of the portables (For those who don't know what those are, they're small buildings outside the school with one class; there might be about..20 outside my school?) during my History class. the seating arrangements were extremely different, I was beside one of my friends and the girl I like.

I don't excatly know what happened, but something my teacher did made me angry; I had a temper tantrum and threw all of my books on to the floor. Everyone stared at me, and my teacher pointed to the door screaming "Go to the office". Odd part is, I don't even remember walking out the door and towards the school. I was just suddenly at the side of the school, like our school only had one door at the front.

All the busses were at the front of the school (which is odd) and I saw my parents with my moms car. I walked over to them and they apparently already talked to the principal. They told me they were taking me back home, and I said I needed to go grab my stuff. I turned around and started the unusually long walk to the back of the school. When I returned, my History teacher ordered me to take my seat. I did so.

I turned around and saw a cabinet thing, and resting on it was Volume 1 of Dragon Ball (The original). I picked it up and got excited, and my teacher said he loved Dragon Ball. Girls in my class (Preps) began to diss it, saying it was boring and dumb. Then the bell rang, and I walked back to my parents. Actually, I couldn't find them. Just then, the busses left and I was standing alone in front of my school. There was no one around, it was actually really creepy.

I then realized I forgot my bag. I thought, "Shit, I need to run back and get it before the teacher leaves the portable!". I started to run as fast as I could, and as I did these words escaped my lips:

"You can do this, Jayme. You're super fast! You're Sonic!"

As I said this, I sped up extremely.

"Yes, that's right. Because this is a dream, and I can do anyt-- hey, this is a dream!"

I stopped, and suddenly there was a big flash. Everything became more vivid and my school looked like it actually does. I stared ahead at the portables, and it was like the colors were shooting out at me. I'll be honest-- each time I've had a lucid (Twice, now) I've been scared of how vivid things are (If you can help me with this, please do so).

I screamed something to anchor myself, though I don't remember what. What I do remember though was, because of how scared I was, I screamed something that...was really dumb and probably didn't have much effect.

Things seem to be tipsy which, oddly, hurt my dream eyes. I'm not exactly sure how that makes sense, but I feel pain in my head and my eyes feel...I feel tired.

I stood staring at my surroundings for a bit, then slowly walked. Well, I walked but I wasn't moving anywhere. I heard a scratching noise and looked to my left. Normally, the gate would be there to block kids from entering the construction zone (Our school is having lots of construction done on it at the moment), but in my dream...well, instead of construction beyond the gate, there was a dark forest surrounding my school. It had a mass of leaves in it, and I saw a dark figure running around in the leaves.

Panicking, I slammed my body into the gate and jumped up, trying to teleport away from this scary area. It doesn't seem much, but it was actually really creepy. Within 5 seconds of doing this, I woke up.

So, my questions for you are.

      - Was this a DILD?
      - How can I not be afraid of Lucid Dreaming? Both times I've been afraid of the intense colors and things that seem to be popping out at me.
      - How can I remind myself in dream to stay calm and anchor myself? I rush into things because of fear, and end up waking up extremely quick without doing much.

Interestingly enough though, I was having a horrible time focusing on dreams; I wasn't remembering anything, wasn't reading books, wasn't doing reality checks, and I didn't even visit Dream Views for a few weeks. But that one night I said, "Hey, I gotta get back into this. I'll remember my dreams tonight" and I had a lucid. I guess people were right when they said after your first the others come more easy (I spent basically a year and a half trying to get my first Lucid).

      Thanks.

Yep! When you recognize that you are dreaming from already within the dream, it's a DILD.

These two kind of have the same answer. You know you're dreaming, so the first thing you should train yourself (while awake) to do is to shift your attention to something smaller (like, look at the ground, or something else). Things in your dream need your attention to exist, so as soon as you look at the ground, everything around you won't touch you.

Now calm yourself. Start turning on your senses one by one. Physical sensation, sounds, then sight. The slower you get used to that dreamy feeling, the less overwhelming it should be when you look back up.

Start exploring your environment now See things, touch them, hear everything, talk to dream characters, if they are around.

It sounds silly but it works for me lol
I use the MILD technique, so I'm basically reminding myself as I go to sleep to look for dream signs when I go to bed. Because I tend to run into trouble be it someone about to shoot me or whatever, I tell myself now "If I get into trouble, my sword is right here." And I pat my waist, so that when I become lucid, I'll remember that I have something to defend myself with if anything odd happens. So far I haven't had to use my "sword" (I feel stupid saying this rofl) but it gives me the confidence I need to explore and do what I want in my dreams ahead of time. Hope it helps!
