Anyone else have anything like this happen to them before??

Alright...a couple nights ago i was having this dream where I was in a room filled with one-word signs on the wall (they were all blacklight sensitive and that's the only illumination the room had). I glanced around and there were three signs bigger than the rest. They said simply, "You Are Sleeping". That's when I became lucid and went from there. I wish i could bury little suggestions like that in my subconcious everynight...it would make becoming lucid extremely simple. Just wondering if any of you guys have had anything similar to this.

yes, things like this occasionally happen to me, like acrobatic midgets spray painting dreaming on the wall, or my friend just telling me, whatever, it works.

I wish this would happen to me!! Maybe while I am laying in bed tonight I will make sure that I am thinking of a sign that says "You are dreaming" right before I fall asleep.

I guess my dream self would be too stupid to take the hint anyway...

a couple of nights ago, i was going to help my friend become lucid. we were out doing something (in my dream) and i just thought that i would help him. so i said "lucid" to him over and over again, without being lucid myself or attaining lucidity because of that.

really stupid..

I have an idea. Print out a sign that says "You are dreaming" and stick it somewhere in your house. If you're lucky, It might pop up in your dream..

The thing with the sign has never happened to me.. though, in one of my first lucid dreams, my friend told me I was dreaming, after I asked.. o_o Which was odd.

Me, standing in a weird block-place: Is this a dream?
Friend: Yup.
Me: o_o

Then, I went and talked to some DCs of people IRL.. And me and my friend went back to the begining, and I tried to fly.. And failed.. then woke up into another dream, in a classroom, with the bell ringing. o_o

I wish that I'd be able to have things like that in a dream.. That'd be cool. xD

yeah it was definetely very cool.....hard to miss a sign like that...I just wish there was someway I could control it. But, whatever, I'm just glad that it's possible.
