my first *stable* lucid dream. Stolen?

Well, it was my seventh night since beginning this endeavor of lucid dreaming. I had two semi-lucids, but last night was my first legitimate LD. It happened without the use of an induction technique, so it is bittersweet, as i would rather have them at will than sporadically. But all in due time.

I was in some sort of virtual reality game with my brother in this mansion with a black and white tile floor, and gold statues everywhere. It was a kind of protection game: keep the bad guys away from the door with your sword and magic. The enemies were coming in the second floor and working their way down toward the door we were protecting. My brother was on the second floor fighting with his sword, and I was directly under him, casting this area-burst type spell that went through the floor and damaged the enemies. I accidentally cast a "speed up" spell and two of the enemies got past my brother.

But on their way down the stairs to me, I overheard one saying to the other, "so how self-aware are you right now?" and the other says, "Well, everything around me is just a product of my subconscious, so I guess very self-aware." This got me angry and I thought to myself, "This isn't your dream its mine!... wait a second, I'm dreaming!" so immediately I jump into the air, and start hovering, using my hands and feet as jets like Iron Man, then I jetted through a hallway at supersonic speed, blasting holes in the walls around me with blasts from my hands, basically tearing shit up.

Then I stop, thinking I should probably stabilize the dream somehow. I look at my hands and they look completely normal, then the dream starts fading, so I begin to spin real fast, like, really fast. But I ended up just getting really dizzy and waking up.
When I woke up I still felt really dizzy.

anyway. It was pretty kickass. Those puny projections of my subconscious think they can use my dreams as a playground and become lucid. I will destroy them all with MIND BULLETS!! MUAHAHAHA!!

um yeah. but it is weird to think that another part of my brain must have been experiencing a lucid dream without me. NOT COOL, projections. not cool.

I'm pretty new to LD but I think it may have just been your subconcious using your projections to tell you it was a dream.
So it seems like it wasn't another part of your brain having an LD, it was telling you that you were having a dream and were partly aware of it

That's pretty cool. Very interesting read. I love what your DC's said, it's crazy how that stuff just comes right up out of our subconscious. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Oh and what do you mean by "stolen?" in the title, you think part of your brain stole your lucidity?

Nice one! I should definitely try an iron man suit some time! :p It's weird you woke up dizzy. Was it dizzy the same way when you spin around, or like a head rush from waking up too fast?

Well, it just got me thinking about how many other times I may not have caught it in other dreams. Other parts of my brain might have been having lucid dreams and keeping me in the dark.

Also, I have been thinking for a long time that I have DID, (dissociative identity disorder, or multiple personalities) so this could be a manifestation of that, which, all psycho-babble aside, would be pretty damn cool, and might make for some interesting future lucids.

@tashows: I specifically remember dizziness, not an adrenaline rush or anything, but it could have just been disorienting waking up like that. Some part of me felt like I was still spinning.

I agree, that would make your lucid dreams very interesting. I guess I wouldn't know about the DID, but I could see how that might affect your dreams. Maybe becoming lucid and controlling your dreams would help with the suspected DID. Good luck with it!

That's awesome, sounds so much better than my first lucid.

I don't tend to fight in dreams. I really should learn but uh, ha, I really just run away. Most of my dreams and me getting chased.

Although the other night this little boy stabbed my friend and slashed my face so I got crazy and whipped out a katana and went chasing after him screaming. If this represents me, I'm scared.
