      Did I accidentely WILD?

I got woken up at about 2:00 in the morning last night and couldnt get to sleep for an hour or so. I got that odd feeling you get when this happens and you are trying to get to sleep like a movement deep inside your head. If I ever get woken up and dont get to sleep for a few hours my dreams are always really odd but I get a good chance of lucids (2 or 3 last night).
They were very good lucids and actually taught me alot about lucids . Was this a WILD I accidently induced? I've never actually tryed to WILD so Im not sure what it's like. Thanks alot!

Well it really depends on the method in which it happened. A wild is a Wake Induced Lucid Dream. You must go from being awake directly into lucid without falling asleep first. Falling asleep and suddenly realizing you are dreaming is a Dream Induced Lucid Dream, and falling asleep, then waking up without moving and being able to induce lucidity is a Dream Exit Initiated Lucid Dream. So depending on which way it happened determines if you wilded or not.

I know that but when WILDing are you completely concious or is there a small period of sleep? Because I know that if I hadnt been woken up there was no way I would have achieved what I did; yet im not sure if it counts as a dild or wild. Thanks for the post anyway

It is my understanding that sometimes while wilding and using daydreaming to get relaxed you may slip out of consciousness for a very short period and even bounce back and forth a few times but as long as you are aware of the SP state and transition it is considered a wild. That is my interpretation.
