      A false awakening lucid one

So before I went to bed today, I read something about recording your own voice, and saying something like "You're in a dream" + 15 minutes of nothing. I created a soundfile and added it to my mobile. I got my earplugs (or whatever the name is) for my phone, but couldn't sleep with them on when going to bed, so I decided to put my alarm clock on 04:30 and then put them on fast, so I would be pretty tired and probably fall right back to sleep. I woke up 04:30, but it took me some time to get them on and in a comfortable way. I was a bit too much awaken by the time, and before I knew it, laying in my bed trying to sleep, I hear my own voice say "You're in a dream". I found it extremely creepy since it was quiet in my room and I was trying to sleep without actually dreaming. I took out the earplugs to the phone and went back to sleep.

I had several dreams but finally the last one was a lucid dream. It was actually my first lucid dream, and it was a false awakening. I woke up in a bed in a classroom, and immiedately understood this was a dream. I was pretty excited so I did a careless nose block RC, and I couldn't really breath through my nose. As I got more excited I decided to try to talk to any of the DC's in the room. I found it a bit creepy that everyone was looking at me, so the only thing I said was "Hey". My dream was getting a bit less vivid and I thought I had to lean backwards to get it more vivid, but I think I fell to the ground somehow and then I woke up for real. I was a bit dissapointed for it to be so small, but I was way more happy that I finally had my first lucid dream after trying to get one for about 1 and a half week!

I think that I woke myself up 04:30 helped a lot for this to happen, so I am going to do the same, without the soundfiles on my mobile, and just stay up for a bit.

What do you guys do to make you stay longer in a dream? Any favourite action you do that you feel working very good? Telling me in a reply would help a lot!

      Thanks for reading!

      Congrats on your first lucid

When you're in a lucid, dont go running off and doing those things you want to do, first take some time to stabilize the dream.
Spin, rub your hands, yell out "increase clarity/lucidity, engage all your senses, sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste etc...
      Lucid Goals:
      Fly [X] - Nuke something with a Falcon Punch [ ] - Stay lucid for longer than 20 minutes [X] - Lucid Sex [X] - Step through a Stargate and enter a new world [ ] - Save a crashing airliner [ ] - Travel in time with the DeLorean [ ] - Go to Narnia [ ] - Go to Middle-earth [ ] - Pokémon Battle [ ]

      Good job
how many hours after sleep was this alarm?
try voice commands, by saying "GIVE ME CLARITY" etc. Just take a minute to soak it all in and go through all your senses, look around and everything will get more vivid.
then start it ANY time it starts getting hazy, just re do this.

Thanks silver2k! I will try to remember this next time I'm in a lucid dream.

I put the alarm to ring at 04:30 AM and went to bed about 11:00 PM I think. I got about 5 and a half hour of sleep before being waked up. Then I was awake maybe half hour, and woke up about 6:30 AM from my lucid dream. Thanks for the tips as well.
