      Question Unaware of lucid dreaming?

I was sleeping of course, cause i knew that i had gone asleep and well lets just say that I somehow appeared in my computer/play room and since i rarely have dreams in my house and i mean RARELY, i knew something was wrong but i started thiking "guess ill wake up." like it was very weird, like i knew i was sleeping but didnt realize it and i tried to wake up closing my eyes and opening, realizing, finally, that i was asleep but i couldnt wake up and i clearly remember saying to myself "WHY CANT I WAKE UP". it may have been a reg dream or a lucid dream but i wasnt myself except for the screaming part trying to wake up. now that was me but it did take me around like 10 or 15 times trying to open and close my eyes then i woke up and that's it.

That was an LD because you were aware of the fact that you were in a dream. Our minds are kind of foggy when we're asleep though, so there's different degrees to lucidity.

I recommend stabilizing the dream whenever you become lucid. Do a reality check to remove all doubt about whether or not you're dreaming, and increase clarity by dream spinning or rubbing your hands together. From there you can carry on with the dream, keeping in mind that you are LDing so that you don't forget; and continue to increase clarity as needed, especially when the dream is falling apart

Oh ok, thanks for the tip btw, i think i almost had one last night except i got to a part where i thought i was still awake since the dream started in my bed and started to hear very weird noises to the extreme like almost in the scary movies kind of noises and i freaked out and i acted how i would and then i noticed it was a dream after waking up.

Could this maybe have been a stage before lucid dreaming or something cause i remember reading about weird noise in a stage?

It sounds like you were attempting a WILD(?) The weird noises are perfectly normal, they're called auditory hallucinations. It's common in WILDs to enter the dream as a false awakening, it's called "seeing through your eyelids" because you're still lying in bed, yet looking through your dream eyes. That's why it's important to do an RC whenever attempting a WILD, even if you think you've failed (and don't do this by jumping out your window to see if you can fly )

Even if this wasn't a WILD attempt, the noises could have acted as a dream sign for you. So make an effort to RC a lot while you're in bed, because false awakening are really good way of becoming lucid.

I had a dream where I asked myself if I should've done an ignore test to see if those people were dream characters.
      I wasn't lucid.
