      Talking First induced LD (DEILD)

I woke up this morning especially early with the goal of Lucidity of my mind. I say especially early, about 6 o'clock. I was planning on attempting WILD again as so far I had had no success. My lack of mental anchor meant I quickly fell asleep non-lucidly and I was pretty disappointed. As the dream I was having ended though, something deep inside my head must have thought about DEILD as it suddenly occurred to me I should try it. I stayed as still as I could and within seconds two dots appeared in my vision. As the tutorial said I tried to observe them passively. They then split into four and so on until I didn't really know what was going on. I had been using this as my mental anchor so quickly tuned into the high pitched noise coming from in my head. Then a wave of tingling swept over me and I suddenly felt very heavy. I'm guessing this was SP. Finally, I felt as if I was being pushed very hard into some thick putty. It felt as if my teeth were going to be taken out but it wasn't scary. Then I got up, in my bedroom, with the edges of my vision darkened.

For the first time I performed an RC, I stared at my hands. One was missing several fingers so I imagined them growing back and they did. The dream also cleared up a bit. I then performed a nose-pinch and text RC. I was sure I was in a dream so went to fly out of the window. I may have been a little too ambitious because I fell straight out but hung onto some guttering. I saw my rabbit who I had an overwhelming urge to test some telekineses on and he (rather unfortunately) burst into flames. Not what I intended but never mind. I then followed a group of people one of who's hair I set on fire, again not intentionally but I couldn't seem to control the dream very well. I imagined it growing back and it did. Then the dream started to break up and I braced myself for another DEILD. I was very surprised when it worked for a second time.

This time I was much more paranoid and did the RC check on a wikipedia page. I was worried I wouldn't be able to escape the dream and so forced myself awake but had a false awakening instead and lost my lucidity.

Anyway, for me it was brilliant and went 'textbookly'. I would like to say thanks to everyone who wrote the tutorials on this website and forum as they have been invaluable in helping me . Just as a last note: are DEILDs similar to WILDs in quality? People always say that WILDs are some of the most vivid types of Lucid Dream, are DEILDs similar in quality? I ask this because DEILD comes much more naturally to me and I have almost succeeded in trying it several times before and I was wondering if there is any significant difference.

Congrats! I've been reading a lot of success stories using DEILD around here and I'm itching to try it. I do FILD a lot and I'm looking for another "simple" induction technique like that one. I hope my attempts are successful as yours and I wish for you many more.
