Another lucid dream.. this one was disturbing..

Below are the details of the lucid dream I had this morning. I debated whether or not I'd share it with the forum but decided to go ahead and post it.

My alarm goes off and I think I'm just laying in bed waiting for my husband to get up or the second alarm to go off (we have two alarms set about 30 minutes apart). As I lie there I start going over what I need to do today when the second alarm goes off and my husband gets up. I lay there for about a minute and then I too get up.

I walk into the living room and it is very dark.. too dark. I think this is very strange because normally this time of morning our living room is extremely bright and sunny. I dimly see my dog sitting across the room by the couch and I think "how strange.. why would my husband let her upstairs?" when it suddenly dawns on me that I'm dreaming!

For some reason I go back into the bedroom. I look up and see the sky! It's blueblack and full of fuzzy tiny stars. I concentrate and bring the stars more into focus. I decide to fly up to them but I only get so far when I hit the ceiling! My bedroom's ceiling now appears to be sky and I can't go any higher.

I levitate and start to claw at the ceiling and slowly break my way through. I lift myself through the hole and see that I am now in a well-lit (and what I thought was an empty) attic. As I stood up, I heard a noise and looked to my right. I see a small boy about 7 years old huddled in the corner of the room. He is blonde and his face is tearstained. He is sitting on the floor with his knees to his chin and his arms hugging his legs and he looks absolutely terrified.

I follow his gaze and look to my left. There on the other side of the room is a fullsize bed upon which, laying on his back, is a naked man about 40 years old.

I suddenly got the sick realization of what had happened or was about to happen in this attic.

It didn't appear that either of them knew I was there (almost as if I was invisible).

I am beyond disgusted and angry as hell as I walk over to the bed. I won't go into detail of what I did to him but it would be safe to say that he won't be hurting anyone else for quite some time (if ever).

I love kids and the thought of one of them being harmed disturbs me on so many different levels and I have never had a lucid (nor non-lucid) dream like this before.

FYI.. I have never been molested nor do I know anyone who has (at least I don't think I do).. I just don't know where this dream came from.

As I said, I debated whether to share this but decided I trust you guys enough to do so.

that is trippy....i dont know what i would ahve done because i just havent had that many lucids, but even just reading your dream is sort of freaking me out a little. i dont know, its just wierd, and it makes me wonder if our dreams are just dreams or are they more? you know? like you said, you've never been molested and dont know anyone who has been. can i ask how the dream ended? what happened after you did what you did to the old man?

All I can figure is that you have seen or read something lately involving molestation. Interesting, Michael Jackson is in his early to mid 40's.

Perhaps the pressure valve of your subconsious just popped open and allowed you to let some of this out?

I can imagine what you did to the guy, I would probably have cut it off and shoved it down his throat!

So, do you feel more peaceful this morning? A little less stressed?

EDIT: Another thought. You said you were trying to leave your room and perhaps fly to the stars? It does sound to me like your subconcious was trying VERY hard to show you something. Perhaps you HAVE been distrubed by something lately. I try to let my subconcious guide me as much as possible in lucid dreams.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Well, he was screaming in pain and the dream just abruptly ended... no slowly fading out.. just over.

This is very possible. I read the paper and every freakin' day there are stories of children being hurt, molested or murdered (and usually by a parent). I can't imagine what it must be like for a child whose home should be their safe place and whose parent should be their protector and they have neither.

As for Michael Jackson, the guy on the bed was anglo. (As a side note, I also blame the parents for allowing their kids and themselves to be \"bought\" by Jackson.)

It's still attached (just not functional).

Not really.. when I think of this dream.. I'm still bothered by it. I can still see the boy's face.. he was so real.. too real).

Maybe you should look into the past of your attic if the house is not a new house, or think about the future of it? or maybe it was nothing.
To focus on one state of mind always.

Well we had the house built and the attic is very small and unfinished (we never go up there).

I think I'll go with the "it was nothing" theory and let it fade from my memory.

Clairity...I also had an extremely disturbing lucid dream a few days ago that I will absolutely NOT share with anyone. It's that bad. And I don't know what is worse...what happened in the dream, or the fact that I was lucid the entire time and I was making these decisions, though I'm not sure that I had FULL control. It was very confusing. Anyway, I know how these dreams can leave an impression on someone. But this one I had...will definitely be erased from my memory. It's absolutely HORRIBLE.

Nina, as time goes by the vividness of the dream fades from my memory (thankfully)!

But for a couple of days there it really stuck with me.

It's comforting to know that someone else has experienced these kind of disturbing lucid dreams.. thanks so much for letting know.
