I put my head back in sideways

A very long time ago I had a what I believe to be a lucid dream, but that believers in OBE would call an OBE. It's not my goal to debate which is was, but however you choose to look at it, the content of the dream was that I left my physical body. When I returned to it, I put my head in sideways.

      I'll explain:

It wasn't like a typical LD because I was not aware that I was dreaming. However, like an LD, I was completely conscious during the experience and it felt very real. Since I didn't think I was dreaming, I was very much convinced that I had left my physical body and was very frightened as soon as I realized what was happening. I wanted to get back into my body and quick! So I rushed. I knew I was rushing and that it was a bad idea to rush, but I was too scared to care.

I beleived my physical body was lying on my bed, stomach up, with my face pointed toward the ceiling. So I squirmed back into it in the same position and tried to "return to reality". I immediately woke up, but upon opening my eyes, nothing I saw made any sense. It was something like a bunch of random shapes and colors that seemed familiar somehow. At this point I was really awake and my eyes were physically open. I was really scared and thought I'd somehow permanently messed myself up or caused brain damage (or that the experience itself was the result of brain damage).

But after a several seconds, I figured out why everything was so familiar looking. It was morning in my bedroom as usual, but turned 90 degrees sideways. Suddenly those shapes just popped together and made sense. You may wonder why my room wasn't immediately recognizable. It's because I knew with absolute certainty how my body was positioned when I returned to it, with my face pointed towards the ceiling. But I was wrong. After everything returned to normal, I then realized that my head was turned sideways, cheek on the pillow.

      ---

Does this make sense? Has anyone experienced anything similar?

no, something must be wrong with you
Awaiting word on what's to come
In helpless prayers a hope lives on
As I've come clean I've forgotten what I promised
In the rays of the sun I am longing for the darkness

lol, all i can think of, is that you thought your head was up and that u were actually sideways............
so when you woke up you thought everything would look 90 degrees at the opposite angle because thats how you (thought) your head was turned when it happend; so you saw the shapes but they wern't registered right cuz you thot u were face up and you were confused and it took a while for your brain to realise that you were wrong but actually but facing sideways.. but im probly wrong

Yeah I had that recently kinda, the night I first became lucid.. right before the lucid dream.. Im not sure what it was really. I just went from being awake straight to dreaming...
I first was thinking about something. I dunno why but I had this thought. Or view or whatever, I just took a coca cola bottle from the fridgerator and it started to make this annoying alarm sound. Then I like, wake up somewhere. Everything is black. The alarm is still on, but now it sounds more like one of those shaving machine things (sorry, im finnish) make. And then I like, felt like I was rising on to my stomache or my back (i was lying on my left side when I went to sleep) then I got really scared and there was this huge, creepy dude shaving my back and then I automatically knew ''This is a dream! I know it is! Cmon, now I'll just walk away'' And then I woke up and ''What the?!'' everything felt and seemed unreasonable and didn't make sense. Then I realized I was still on my left side. It was so scary, I thought I had gone nuts (during and after the dream, during mainly cause It felt so real and weird)
Lucid dreams: 12 (woke up too early on each)
