      First LD chain!!!

Two nights ago, I got to bed really late, so I wasn't expecting to dream much, or very well. I've been practicing ADA when I can, and sporadic awareness when I can't. I've also been saying a mantra when going to bed, and when going back to bed after writing in my dream journal through the night.

I want to say, that the first LD two nights ago, was due to the mantra. It was just after a wbtb (but not trying a wild - cause I always fail, and end up being awake for the rest of the night). I fall back asleep, then I realize I'm dreaming. I don't know why it was different than the others that I've had, which are mostly all random DILDs. It just seemed different, and that's why I am attributing this one to the MILD mantra.

Anyways, after I had that first Lucid, I began thinking about myself laying in bed...I always do that, unfortunately. But this time, I attempted a DEILD. I've done it before, but I think I've always done it at the end of a sleep cycle, so I can never fall back asleep with it, so they have always failed as if it were a WILD.

So after exiting the lucid, I DEILD. I visualize the last scene I was just in, and it starts to form around me. I get excited, cause it's actually working, and BAM, I'm back in bed. So I do it again, and let it form for longer before I really try to step into it, and it worked! I was successful at a DEILD!!!

So now I'm in my second, and of course, I forget to stabilize for not only the first one, but this one as well. So after about 20-30 seconds, this one ends. So, I wake up laying in bed, and remain still once again, and a few seconds later, BAM, I'm lucid and in a dream again! Three dream DEILD chain!!! I stabilize for this one, and use it to mostly look around the dream scene, and practice my stabilizing.

BTW, going into a construction site, and licking drywall dust makes me cough, and not be able to breath very well in a dream. Didn't expect that, but it was neat to cough in a dream...very unique experience. The sun in this dream was 50% brighter and more intence than I've ever seen in real life. It was amazing.

Also, something about this chain, I felt like I had more clarity, and more control in each successive lucid. I guess my mind was waking up more or something, but it was a stunning difference in clarity and control. It was like rabbit ears in the first one, to vhs in the second one, and BluRay in the third one.

That's actually funny you say that. With this LD chain, I actually felt like I finally moved out of the newbie stage, and am becoming an amateur LDer.

I'm starting to have a LD every 2-5 days, and am becoming better at induction techniques. I'm still having trouble with stabilizing and basic control, but at least I'm to the point that I can get in, and then work on practicing those issues.

I've actually been doing a TON
DLDO - my own combination of basically everything
I'm not planning on this being a constant thing, but every once in a while to give myself a boost.

Basically what the main things are, are ADA when I can, and SA when I can't. Then a MILD mantra at bedtime, and visualizations, but only when they come to me easy...if they don't come easy, then it keeps me awake, and I can't fall asleep. I randomly RC through the day as well.

Then with these, I did two DEILDs to get back into the dreams.

Also, as for stabilizations techniques. I've been trying a ton of different things, and am starting to get it. I just didn't even think about it on the first two. For me, what is working to stabilize, is to slap my cheeks, so I feel pain, as well as engaging other senses onto something within the dream. If I rub my hands, I loose the dream, or if I engage a single thing without looking around, I loose the dream. I have to look around the dream world, and keep the dream scene in my sight. Then engaging by rubbing/smelling/tasting/whatever, something within the dream, I can keep in it a bit longer. I'm still only able to stay in for a couple minutes, but it's better than the 10-30 seconds I was getting before.

Sort of the same stage as me then. Inducing lucidity I have no problem with, it's more-so towards the control and stabilisation fields I have a bit of difficulty with. However, I have devised some methods to help with stability that maybe you should check out - located here.
