I never said I haven't ever habitually smoked. I try not to speak of things I don't know about. LOL so I guess you won that one. I learned how stupid it was and stopped. I stopped that over 6 years ago. I still smoke like 4 times a year. So its not like I condemn the stuff.

It's all good. My post was really just meant to say that if you know what you're doing and have been Ld'ing for awhile pot doesn't get in the way of having LD's at least for me.
Most people have some sort of crutch whether it being drinking alcohol, doing crank, coke and really any drug including the most popular caffiene. There's over eating and many more I won't bother mentioning. I'm just happy that my drug of choice is one that doesn't have screwed up side effects like the harder drugs. I've never robbed anybody or stolen anything so that I can smoke weed. Plus I'll argue with anybody to my grave that weed is much better for you than legal alcohol. I concider my self a pot head because I smoke everyday though sometimes only at night after I get off of work. We all live in an emotional world so I feel most people have some sort of issues but I wouldn't say it's issues or that \"I\"m not right in the head\" for the reason I smoke pot. Plus I didn't say that I had these problems in my post but somehow you interpreted it that way. I'm not saying that I have no problems either though. I was just trying to see why you think potheads are not ok. I guess it's just your experience from it.

Yes this is for sure. I live in California and I bet a million people smoke weed in California alone and this is not an over estimation. So in the world who knows.

Thank you for realizing I'm not totally dumb. I still have other horrible addictions that I need to be overcome. I'm just as hard on myself as I am anyone else. Like I said I try not to speak of things I know nothing of.

First, anyone who wants to debate whether MJ is good or bad get lost . . . save that discussion for sunday school.

I smoke MJ daily, and almost never have any dream recall. The thing is, on my days off, which are usually once every other week, I have been having crazy lucid dreams. I got into LD in college, so I have been familiar with it in the past, and just recently I've been experiencing complete conciousness in my dreams on nights I don't smoke pot. So I'd agree, pot isn't good for LD if you have smoked that day . . . I tend to sleep very well on the night I smoke (its a great cure for insomnia) and I assume that tones down the thought process during sleep. On my nights off not only do I attain compete lucidity, but my dreams are incredibly vivid and intense. Just the other night I found myself diving off a cliff into a crytal clear lake . . . the sensation when I hit the water was incredible. After that I flew out of the water and continued to fly through some crazy coastline city . . . I ultimately ended up invisible at Target (yup, the store) . . . .

Anyways, for the people in the know here . . . MJ has definitely gotten me back into LD.

My friends and I used to love to take a bunch of pills, to the point of being almost nonfunctional, and smoke a bunch of pot and walk around Wal-Mart at 3:00 in the morning. It was a very interesting experience. I quit taking pills for fun even before I quit smoking pot, and now I don't smoke pot (13 days now) or do any kind of recreational drugs (mushrooms and salvia JUST ONE more time each remaining, however), but I want to do the early a.m. Wal-Mart thing some more. However, my goal is to have lucid dreams and walk around dream world Wal-Marts. That would be REALLY interesting.

By the way, the friends I just mentioned ended up being full blown pain killer addicts. I didn't get them into it. They got me into it. I don't recommend that stuff at all, unless you want to die, be homeless, or spend more of the rest of your life in rehab than you spend out of it.

thats the funniest thing i have ever heard dude. sounds awesome and i would love to do that but it would destroy someone yes. not good.

i had the best recall possible, atleast 4 dreams a night without writing them down..then i started smoking weed all day and my recall was GONE! prolly cuz i smoked right before sleeping too....now i dont smoke before bed and my recall is back!! YAY

weed is from god to us and anyone who doest smoke weed all day everyday is under mental lockdown by the government without even knowing it (it would be nice to live in a country not taken by evil plots by the government to control your mind and to drug u without even knowing it. and that is a FACT trust me.

and if anyone doesnt smoke pot because of religion, well if u believe god coded everything on earth for us than he must have made that too. come on the bible even says he gave all the herbs of the field for us to use. so whatever.

ya, butt in a way it doese cause many issues that might cause death being it illegal and deaths maybe here and there more from the police i would think than from its users... but yea i was being sarcastic...

i quit smokin weed when i was 11 becuz it was unhealthy and such... lol im j/k, i quit because i couldnt make anymore money to buy weed, and sure my mom would r*pe me instead of supporting me if she knew i was smokin pot at 11.

My friends are the biggest potheads in the whole world. I swear. My friend doesn't go to school, lays in bed all day, his brother's a dealer, and his mom gives him money and smokes too, so he gets money from her, goes to his brother's room, buys a bunch of pot, and smokes it. I used to be a smoker too, like two years ago, but I quit because I just felt crappy when I was high. So, I've been telling them about lucid dreaming, but my one friend just doesn't believe it's possible for him to do it, doesn't think there's a particular method you can follow to get it to happen, so he doesn't try. He smokes every couple hours or so, so I could only imagine his mind is foggy and he can't remember anything he dreams. My other friend, who's almost just as much of a pothead, likes the idea of lucid dreaming and tries it, but he's a heavy sleeper, and doesn't remember his dreams much either. He believes me when I explain how cool it is, but I'm not doing it justice, it's not something you can explain. It's like explaining the sense of taste to someone without taste buds. They couldn't possibly comprehend how clear my mind is when I lucid dream because they haven't had clear heads for years. I want to convince them to stop smoking, at least for a little bit, and start lucid dreaming. I think it would benefit them.

Basically, I want to share this experience with them before I move away, but they won't be able to LD if they keep smoking, and they wouldn't possibly quit smoking unless they had an LD and understood how cool it can be. Now that's what I call a sticky situation...

Other than that I will just comment that I smoke every now and then and never even remember a dream after... But I can't say that if i were to smoke every day and get used to it, I don't know if my dream state would change. I think becoming lucid while sleeping stoned is very unlikely but not impossible. Anyway~ Um toke up?

aularast, you may have a point there. ive gotten so good at dream recall and smoke weed so much that going to bed high still gives me dreams and very cool ones actually.

I would have to agree with most of thses posts! Simply put,,no epic adventures, no unraveling of mysteries,no oscar winning odyssey,, that you can remember while sleeping on pot!

Marijuana is a killer! Millions of Lucid Dreams were it's victims!
