My First ever recallable Lucid Dream

      Hello Everyone,

After watching Leonard's Film Inception last night, I recalled myself that I loved lucid dreaming. And that is why I am here today.

When i found about lucid dreaming, i was amazed and thought that it can help he control myself much better in many ways. Anyway, here is my Experience.

The first ever lucid dream I had started as exact as told by many people. A really check or i should say reality differentiation. I had this lucid dream without any technique or training, so it was an experience i can not explain why or how happened.

What happened was that I saw myself in my office room. There is a room what i can see from the door of the terrace / balcony. I saw that it was extended outside more then it is in actual, i saw it and stopped their and saw WOW, hold on, thats not real, and literally jumps and shouted I AM DREAMING. Then i had control ( atleast this is what i felt ) I can not mention here what I did after that but I can easily recall it any time I want.

As I said, I did not do any training for this but I do think that there was some reason behind it. May be my better sleeping time, the right time for sleeping, comfortable weather or sleeping place etc. I dont know for sure but there was something.

I can not do it again so i know that I am not trained for it. I might will find actual facts / reasons which made me have it.

I am trying to keep a dream journal. Hope this can help anyone.

      Sweet Dreams,

      Ammar Ahmed

Hi Ammar welcome to the forums!

Sounds like a cool lucid dream! Dont worry - with some practise and dedication you will be able to lucid dream whenever you want!

Keeping a dream journal is a great way to help remember your dreams, you will also start to find common occurences and be able to notice when things are more 'dream-like' - thus becoming lucid whenever you see them!

Good luck for your next lucid!

      Hello Shadow,

Thanks for your reply. I knew the idea of keeping dream-liking events / things in a separate list in dream journal which i am keeping. Kind of fascinating thing to experience.

      Thanks for the luck.

      Post Getting good

      Ok, this is good.

I had 3 dreams last night and 3 dreams night before yesterday. Not completely recallable but part of them are. I think I remember some starting point of them but not sure. Filled DJ as much as I could.

Night before yesterday I woke up each time I had them and wrote them. Last night I forget one of them because I didnt right many points which couldnt remind me .Sum up, I couldnt write one of last night's dream, darn .

So far so good. Wish me luck.
