My lucid experiences. From non-believer to dream enthusiast

I thought I would finally make a post with my experiences and a brief introduction to myself on here, maybe get some feedback.

I got into lucid dream by some complete random fluke, probably just over a year ago I thought dreams were completely random, pointless with no meaning.

About a year ago I first became lucid in a dream, roughly towards the end of my sleep. No idea how or for what reason, I knew I was sleeping but I was conscious of the fact. In the dream it was just my body surrounded by complete darkness, then all of a sudden I felt a rush of cold electricity rush from the back/middle of my brain and spread towards the rest of the brain, I could feel my eyes moving around rapidly in my real body. I have never felt such an invigorating feeling, was truly amazing. Then all of a sudden a world just created itself around me, green fields and grass, trees etc.. I explored it for a few minutes after which I began to get worried about what was going on and woke up.
The same thing happened the next few nights and this is when my interest in dreams began.
DO YOU think this was a lucid dream happening during REM and the electric feeling across my brain was DMT being released which happens during REM?

For the next few months I had many lucid dreams, at fairly random intervals. I would be half way through a dream and just realize I was dreaming at which point my perspective would change from third person to first person view. I always have this perspective change when I become lucid. Unfortunately I have to had that rush of electricity feeling since those first few experiences.

After a while I stopped having lucid dreams and have recently been trying the WILD method with some success unfortunately my dream length is cut fairly short on these occasions. When this happens I can feel my body falling asleep starting from my legs up to my head, its like i'm getting stretched and pulled in the dream inch by inch, anyone else had this sort of experience with WILD?
Last night as I was going lucid with WILD I wanted to go explore the universe and as I was getting pulled in i was getting thrown through space and I could see the stars just rushing past, a bit like you see in the movies when some ships enter light speed but without the blurryness, that was a massive rush that lasted only about 10 seconds unfortunately as it was a bit to intense to stay asleep.

What I do in my lucid dreams varies, usually I get my ideas from reading topics on this forum, I do a lot of flying although some times I find it hard to take off. I go exploring, seeing whats behind the next door, and the next. I try to generate the world around me and the people around me. I've tried searching for my dream guide with pretty random results. I've tried searching for other dreamers although I'm starting to get skeptical about shared dreaming.

I guess I've been fairly lucky to have this ability randomly come into my life, considering from what I've read some have real troubles getting lucid. It has really changed my approach to life, but enough rambling.

      Thanks for reading.

Good to hear. It's also good you picked it up quite well and fast. That's what stops many people beginning- not getting anywhere soon. Just keep at it and set some goals and things to do. You would be surprised how hard it is to think of things to do in an LD when you are actually in one.

welcome to dreamviews and yeah some people have a real trouble getting a LD (ive been in this a year and a half with 1 or 2 half lucid dreams but its stories like yours that keep me going, i feel like i just need to find the right mindset) being a natural is a true gift. and stay optimistic, remember no one even knows why we dream, so anyone whos advancing in dreams is a pioneer in the field. and it seems like you dont have much problem getting in but you need to work on stabilizing, theres a lot of guides on here about it that i think could help you.

      Thanks for the support.

I have had a some that have gone for a good half hour or close to, sometimes I lose lucidity and it turns into a regular dream. I find keeping my eyes wide open in the dream and staying focused on something keeps me lucid, because if I close my eyes in the dream for too long I will lose control of the dream. I started reading Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by LaBerge so i'll see how it goes.

I have tried to get an outer body experience happen as soon I entered the lucid state, I could see myself lying in bed with my girlfriend next to me but it was in a different house than the one i was in so I don't think it was a real OBE. Also the whole experience felt like it had a really low frame rate, about 2 frames per second and blurry with each motion, very odd much different to my normal LD's.

I also tried a bit of remote viewing once after reading a bit about it but without success, I usually do things based on whatever I'm reading or interested at the time. Most of my lucid dreams these days start of with me getting out of bed, and I just walk through the wall of the house and start to explore the world, lately my goal has been to find other dreamers to see if shared dreaming exists. I've noticed dream characters in my dreams rarely look me in the eyes and do not have much to say, so I just have been walking around asking people for their names and if they're a lucid dreamer, see if I can find a real person out there maybe :S
