Previous Lucid Experience; Need Some Insight

This is a lucid dream that I had probably about a year ago. My objective at the time was to find my dream guide. I attempted a few times and had a varying degree of success, but I was never fully confident that I had found him/her/it.

I was on standing on my front lawn of a previous residence. I told myself that when I turned around, my Dream Guide would be standing there. So, I turned around and a person had spawned. I asked, "Are you my Dream Guide." He replied, "No, I'm not."
So I asked him where s/he was. The character told me that s/he was on a different plane. That s/he was on this plane when I was awake.

Now normally I would chalk this up to stupid things random DCs say. But this particular DC was very intelligent. He knew exactly what was going on and knew that we were in my dream. He was so intelligent that he gave me a 3 second warning that I was about to lose lucidity. His insight actually gave me time to anchor myself back to the dream as I was losing it.

My question is: Do you think this was something of note or just random things DCs say?

well it all depends on what you think the power of dreams are (i think it has a very large amount of potential) so i would consider what he said but realise that it is possible it was just an intelligent DC. and i heard that when you meet your dream guide, you'll know, so i dont know how he made you feel but he might have been, impossible to tell since i didn't experience it.

I don't think I've EVER heard of a DC admitting that he/she is in your dream... so you've obviously stumbled upon something extra-ordinary. I believe dreams are more than they seem... if this entity says it wasn't your DG, then chances are it isn't. I know my DG because I have this like sixth sense that tells me its him (despite varying appearance). I have yet to even ask him if he is my DG, because it really isn't necessary... he literally guides my dreams when I need him most... fits the description to the tee.
