Hello everyone,
I'd like to combine this post with a short introduction (since it's my 1st post) and my first lucid dreaming experience. If you want to skip right to the Lucid Dream skip the first paragraph.
My name is Joey and I'm 20 years old. I've read about lucid dreaming exactly 19 days ago and it got me interested right away. The first day I spent over 8 hours reading about techniques and other peoples experiences, and it was the only thing I talked about with friends. I Normally never remembered dreams, and after the first night I didn't have recall, none at all. The next night, April 9th, I woke up many times during the night, and i was able to remember 3 different dreams. I immediately started a dream journal and I wrote down dreams almost every day since then. And then today, 19 days after discovering Lucid Dreaming, I've experienced my first one.
There happened A LOT before I realized I was dreaming, but the thing which made me realize I was dreaming was that I was getting a tea pot for someone to drink rum out off (lol). I was walking in a long corridor when suddenly I thought to myself I must be dreaming, and the first thing I did was look at my hands. I had like 10 but I can only recall that I looked at my right hand. I got this tingly enthousiastic feeling all over me when I realized that I was actually lucid dreaming, but immediately convinced myself that it was not a big deal. I wanted to look at my hands again and eventhough I know that looking at your hands has a stabalizing effect, I had the feeling that I would wake up due to being too thrilled about all this. I ignored the whole original dream story and flew out of the window. I tried different techniques, arms to my body, arms in front of me, but it didnt work as I had planned. Then I started using the spiderman technique and this worked out better than expected. While I was "flying" through the city center of where I live, I was thinking about people saying that their lucid dream experience is sometimes very vague and blurry, while mine was as clear as it could get.
At this point, I thought I woke. I was talking with my best friend whom I know over 15 years, and I told him I just had my first Lucid Dream. He was jealous and asked me what I did to achieve this. I told him to just dream and look at your hands. At that time I looked at my hands and this made me realize that I was actually still dreaming (10 fingers). The first thing I did was punch him in the face, jumped back and started to get ready to kamehameha him. Before I started I convinced myself that doing this would probably be too heavy and that it would end my Lucid Dream. So instead I just flew away again. Later I came back to get him, I told him to jump on my back, but when he was there I couldn't fly anymore. I told him that I can't fly when there are so many people around me, and I started spidermanning away. I didn't know where I was going but suddenly I was drying myself off in a swimming pools changing room. I noticed a mirror in front of me, and thought to myself hey, I can probably change my hair colour while I had my eyes closed with a towel on my head. I removed the towel and looked at the mirror and there I stood, with green hair. At that point I was ready to leave, and I was about to imagine a beach behind the door I was about to go through. I just had to scratch this itch on my head, but unfortunately before I realized it I was scratching that itch in real life, I woke up.
I was so happy, I immediately wrote it down in my dream journal, and now, approxamitely 4 hours after I woke up it still gives me this great euphoria rush and I smile like a retard.
I know this is ALOT of text, and if you are actually reading it till the end I must really thank you, and ask a question. When I think about dreams off when I was really young I always flew to school and other things, but lost this power when I wanted to show others I could fly. In this dream I had the exact same problem. Flying went okay, not as I thought it would but still okay. But when I wanted to take my friend somewhere I just couldn't get off the ground. Does anyone might have an idea why this happens? Thanks in advance!
