      Memory in dreams

Ive had dreams where i remember things that haven't happened in real life. Any other people experienced this? Would it be possible to manipulate your own memory with dreams?

Yea, things like this happen to me all the time and I think might be related to deja vu phenomena.

Well, the dream memory is stored in the different place than waking life memory, exactly for the reason, so it's easy for us to tell the difference between dream and real memory. So I don't really think, that your dreams can alter your waking life memory.

And I'm not sure I get first part of your question. Dreams are mostly made of things we 'don't remember happening in waking life' because, they are fantasies, they never happened. If I misunderstood, please explain. Happy dreams

I think he means that at some point in the dream you remember something that never happened.
"Out of the fog, into the smog (cough cough). Relentlessly... ruthlessly ('I wonder where Ruth is?'). Doggedly (bark bark)... towards his weekly meeting with... the unknown. At 4th and Drucker he turns left, at Drucker and 4th he turns right, he crosses MacArthur Park and walks into a great sandstone building (smack)."

An example: you dream that your best friend starts to sing, and it sounds beautiful. You think "oh, that's not wierd at all, he/she has always been an excellent singer" but in real life, you friend can't sing at all, and you know that. But still, in your dream, you can your memory is completely different
