      Dreaming of dreaming lucid?

Hi all, this is my first post here since trying to lucid dream.

I've been interested in dreams for some time, I've had an obe as a kid and I can wake myself up when I need to, usually from a bad dream.

I've now been trying to control my dreams. I'm on holiday in turkey right now so been doing a bit of napping and sleeping!

I started telling myself to remember my dreams, through out the week this has improved and last night I was telling myself to lucid dream.

I reminder thinking twice throughout the night that I know this is a dream and tried to do something but woke up everytime.

I then had a third felling I was dreaming, and tried to focus on flying. I was sent back to a street where I live, I then tried to run very fast, lost leaping to take off. It only lasted a few seconds but I flew. It's difficult to explain, but my whole body was vibrating with energy and my heart was racing. I fel adrenalin like nothing I have felt before. I remember saying ow wow, and my partner repeating what I said next to me, almost in a joking recognition.

But it was like I was lying in bed awake but also dreaming, so like dreaming I was dream
      Ing I was lucid.

Can anyone advise me if this is normal for lucid dreaming? All I can say is for a few seconds, it was the most real thing I have ever done. When I woke up I felt a little out of breath and I had pins and needles in my body.

I'd like to think that was my first lucid dream, as it felt so amazing and I did focus on flying and it happens. But dreaming I'm lucid dreaming? Confused a little.

Any help advise would be welcomed.

      Thanks all.

Congratulations! This was your first lucid dream.

Ideally, it should not be like lying in bed awake but also dreaming. It should be like you are in the dream world but also awake.

Just like with anesthesia and the many planes of unconsciousness, there are many levels of awareness between awake and enlightened.

      Thank you.

I've only just started so I'm pleased I've managed to get this far. I'll keep focusing and hopefully I'll have plenty more.

I'm sure you will. Hold on to that feeling of rushing adrenaline and see if you can summon it up at will. I can sometimes carry it with me for days on end after a good dream. It definitely has a positive impact on my work and rubs off on those around me.

The first lucid is always a good landmark to start keeping a journal...

Speaking of flying, I accomplished it in a lucid dream the other night (the first time I've tried to fly, actually). I held my fist up towards the sky, looked up, and said "Up up and Away!", and suddenly I was flying, and making myself go EXTREMELY fast.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...

I do this a lot! My first lucid dream was a dream inside a dream. One time I dreamed that i tried to WILD and had some intense vibration feelings.

Just to let you know I've tried to have another lucid experience but nothing yet which I found depressing. But I feel better now. I'm trying omega 3, and b6, bannas, fish and milk each day and my dream recall is very good now so I'm feeling strangely up beat about my dreams and mind.

I tried to lucid last night when I woke up and tried to focus as I went back to sleep, and felt very odd like a vibrating sensation and some dream images. But I lost it due to my wife tossing in bed! Grrr!

I'm recalling about 3 dreams a night which I'm very proud of. I do try to repeat a lucid request everytime I fall asleep but it doesn't transfer got my dream state. I'm also doing regular reality checks in the day.

I'm determined to focus on this challenge so hopefully I'll get there.

If you really want a supplement combo that works(I am no doc, make sure you read into them before tossing them down) Galantamine and Choline after about 4 and a half hours of sleep are extremely effective. Nothing else I've tried even compares.
