      STRANGEST lucid dream experience EVER

OK, so I was dreaming last night, and I realized I was dreaming. I was like, yes! A lucid! Anyway, I immediately had a false awakening, but still knew I was dreaming. I did a RC, and I was still happy. But then it happened. I couldn't do anything! I had a high level of lucidity, I realized anything was possible within a dream, but I couldn't get out of bed. I would get 2 feet away from my bed and immediately have a false awakening in the same bed. I was so frustrated. Does it have something to do with the fact that I was having an OOBE? Everytime I tried to move, I could see myself laying on the bed.

Current false awakenings: Like 25 last night

PS: I couldn't focus my eyes either.
      I do not like signatures.

Probably a case of the "Don't think about a pink elephant" phenomenon. I guess you should try to focus more on gettting out of bed and less on not not getting out of bed.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

      Cobainkid,

The next time you realize your lucid and you can't focus your eyes, just say 'clarity please'. Believe it or not it works. It seems to also clear up the syrupy feeling you get with that frustrating in between stage of lucidity and OoBE.

      Hope this helps.

Ooooooh I hate when that happens =/

The good news is, this happens most often if your lucid dream is occuring close to when you would normally wake up anyway. Same thing happens to me, right down to the multiple false awakenings, to the fuzzy eyes.

You can try shouting "more clarity," but your best bet is going to be to try to have a lucid during one of your earlier REM cycles.

I have the same problem rather often as well.
