2nd Lucid, I might even get good at this lol :D

So my first Lucid dream was after 10 weeks of trying which was my 78th dream I recalled. Now my 2nd lucid dream was another 10 weeks after my first one and it was the 216th dream I've recalled. I woke up at 6am and I was gonna do a WILD. I sorta succeeded, I was laying there for about 10 minutes without moving and then the sleep paralysis wave kicked in. So I was completely paralyzed but I started panicking which changed my breathing pattern. Then everything stopped. I did a reality check just incase but I wasn't lucid. I was so happy because I just induced sleep paralysis ;D. Then I fell asleep and became lucid at a soccer field. I don't remember how I became lucid though but I started talking to one of the Dream characters there. And then I woke up. My recall from that dream was pretty bad but I realised I was dreaming at some point. And I really don't remember anything else apart from talking to that DC, I don't even know what we were talking about. I didn't get the excitement like what happened with my first Lucid Dream. But I know that there are different layers and I guess this was either a layer 1 or layer 2. Now I got some more motivation to continue and hopefully get another lucid dream which lasts longer. (:

Firstly, well done on the LD Crashyy.

I think I had a similar one after doing a relaxation/WILD exercise, except I think my dream was the result of a DILD. Still a LD is an LD as they say. Yep I'm still learning as most (if not all) my LD's tend to be the DILD variety.
I tend to lose concentration during my WILD attempts. I do them at the right time, etc. Other times I just get bored, or simply fall asleep. However I'm getting there.
I'm sure if you persevere then your LD's will increase in frequency. I think your DJ and attention to detail, plus awareness will pay off in the end.
It is probably wise to look for some familiar 'dreamsigns' in your DJ as well, and to learn some stabilization techniques to try and prolong your future LD's. I think the main one is not to get too excited when you realize you are dreaming, etc.
I think with WILD then it is best not to worry too much about the transition effects as they can be a distraction, but to instead use them as a progress marker.

      Regards

Great job, Crashyy! And not just with the lucid dream, but with the dream recall as well! I'm sure many more will come your way, just keep doing what you're doing, and you'll get better at WILDing

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Very nice! My back of the envelope math tells me that you're getting about two dreams recalled every night and keeping good records. Good work sticking with that. You're doing it right.

Your story sounds a lot like mine. I went a little over 8 weeks between my first LD and my second. I remember what an amazing feeling it was when #2 hit, so I'm very happy for you!

LD'ing really picked up for me shortly after LD #2 because now I knew that my first LD had been no fluke. The same's true for you. You've proven beyond any doubt that you're a lucid dreamer. Now it's no longer about hoping to have lucid dreams. Now you know that you'll have more. Take that confidence with you everywhere you go -- it'll net you many more LDs in your future.

      Congratulations!

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.
