Thread: John Lennon and I recorded songs together.

I feel like sharing a dream I had recently that has me practicing playing instruments much more.

The dream started in a old farm house I used to live in. The ground floor seemed just as I remember it in great detail and even the backyard was furnished. An owl that used to visit was perched in the blackberry tree peering at me through the kitchen window. It was very early in the day and a friend Richard showed up at the front door with his bass guitar insisting that we should record songs with each other immediately. I eagerly accepted the idea but informed him I had no equipment to record anything we played. He laughed at my statement and walked inside nearing the basement door and saying "we can just use the studio." I feel it important to mention my grandparents hung a door harp leading to the basement since I was an infant. In my dream it played a heavenly jingle as we ascended a familiar staircase, only the basement had been supplied with state-of-the-art studio equipment.
As we were preparing to check the sound of our instruments we both heard the front door being entered by two people. This was when I gained some lucidity in the dream and questioned Richard. He informed me he hadn't invited anyone to join us.
Once more the jingle of the door harp played and walking casually downstairs were John Lennon and Yoko Ono. I got really excited and the room began to appear much more vibrant as he plugged in a guitar and introduced himself. Afraid of waking up with a dumb grin I didn't start any conversations and tried to bond myself to the dream. Music is always an amazing and animated mix of emotion for me in dreams and spontaneously we played three songs.
Good Day Sunshine- I dreamt having a very McCartney singing voice.
Yer Blues- John stomped his foot and screamed in to the mic with an eerie echo the whole length of the song. It was very amusing to watch and colors danced around the room.
Mother- John got quiet as a loud funeral toll shook everything around us and a drum kit began to play itself. The room grew dark and Yoko sat close by him as he sung Mother in the mic.
Ricky and I then helped him pack the equipment he brought and he drove on his marry way down a country road.
