      Question Somewhat Lucid...?

I am going to get right to the point here. The dream that I believe was lucid... Well, not entirely lucid. Blah, I really don't know. Anyway, how it happened went like this: I had a false awakening and plugged my nose, successfully breathing in. At that point, in my mind I knew that I was dreaming. However, I can't explain everything because I have horrible memory and don't remember everything. I remember at one point I was above a lake with mountains in the distance, and there were two balloons, one tied to each of my wrists, lifting me into the air. I had entire control of how high I wanted to go or where I wanted to go. However, there were voices in the distance telling me to be careful of the water and such. I never had the thought to approach the voices and find out who or what they were, but I wish I would have. At another point, I remember willingly thinking in my mind that my alarm was going to go off and some point and force me awake, and there was a sense of worry at that point. And yet, at another point, my sister was a DC, and to do a test, I tried to make her disappear... What happened was eerie. She tilted her head back and make some weird noise, and her body had a 'graphical error' think of the glitch in Wreck it Ralph, it looked like that. And then she proceeded to tell me it wasn't going to work.

This was my very first Lucid Dream. So, what I personally think is that I need more 'training' so to speak with lucid control. I may have been holding back so that I didn't wake up. What do you think? I hardly get on this forum, so I don't know a lot. But starting today I'm gonna do a lot more reading and learning so that I can better my lucid experience.

With more LDs comes more experience. Don't worry! Congrats on your first LD. I would recommend to increase your dream recall so you can remember your LDs in more detail

Time to change your LD count, because that sounds like a lucid!

The moment you realize that you are dreaming, it's a lucid. Doesn't matter if it lasts only 1 sec, if you can't controll well, if you remember it well, or what you do.

Just more practice, adding some daytime awareness and writing in dream journal. Happy dreams
