I dreamt that I was lucid dreaming?

I had a dream that I was in a bus and then I did a reality check by seeing if my hands would go through each other. I realized I was dreaming and and so I tried to teleport my friend there with me but she ended up outside of the bus running behind us.

I then woke up, but into another dream. I walked across my street to a department store where they were selling Pokemon games, and I was telling the employes about my dream but then I woke up into actual reality.

I don't think I was lucid though. I've had one lucid dream when I was young and everything was incredibly vivid and I could easily control environment around me. Everything in this dream seemed fuzzy. It was like I thought it instead of actually experiencing it.

Or could it be that my recall is just really bad because I've only been recording my dreams for about a week? Has anyone else had this type of thing happen to them haha?

I've had this happen more than once. I had some dream that I was with my classmates and then I woke up at my home & I told my cousin about it & went back to sleep. Then I was dreaming that I was on school & I got lucid. I woke up again at home and there was a horse next to my bed. I brought it to a place across the street where it should be. Soon after I actually woke up in waking life, a bit mindfucked xD.

It is a very nice experience though I must say ^^.
As for dream recall, I dont think yours would be bad if you are at it for a week. Just keep writing down dreams with enthousiasm and your dream recall will go really fast.
I'm at a point where I can remember about 2 dreams every day without using a dreamjournal but when I really use it I get nights where I remember 6 dreams, especially in the weekends, also the number of lucids go up.

Not all lucid dreams are vivid. It sounds like you thought you were dreaming. I have thought before that I was "lucid" in a dream and a stupid leprechaun stole my USB and plugged it back into the chocobo, and the only way I could be lucid is by having the USB. I actually became lucid because the pain in my ear when he plugged it back into the chocobo.

But yours just sounds a bit fuzzy. It is deffintely possible, so you are not alone.

it usually happens when you spend a lot of time researching LDs and concentrating on it.

Yeah, I guess it is possible especially since I've been reading about the subject a lot lately, sort of how Pokemon worked its way into my dream because of the new generation coming out.

When I woke up I was completely disoriented and it took me a moment to figure out exactly what happened. The human mind sure is weird.

You never woke up. You're still dreaming.

You were lucid. If you are dreaming and you realize that you are dreaming, you are having a lucid dream. Lucidity can come with really twisted concepts of what reality is and with wide spectra of vividness and controllability. All that matters is that you are knowingly dreaming.
