      Time Dilation While Meditating

Today, I decided to lay down on my futon to meditate, due to it being almost completely flat and not at all conducive to sleep. I started off by relaxing myself with a few deep breaths, and started counting each deep breath down from 100. I like this exercise because I find it harder to count down and up, and I catch myself counting up while doing it. By the time I got to 20, I was seeing small swirly blips of light and hearing voices as I was counting. I am not sure what kind of disorder it is, but I hear voices on a regular basis but am not influenced by them, and I hear them when I approach sleep much more localized and vividly. When I finally reached 1, I reaffirmed that I was going to get up and slowly opened my eyes and sat up. I found that an hour and a half had transpired, which startled me. I felt like I had only been doing it for around 15 minutes, and there was no apparent lapse of consciousness. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, i am meditating, and time does go faster once you do so. About hearing voices, is it in your inner thoughts and images that makes this happen? Or just hearing voices out in the open?

When not meditating my voices are more internal, alternate trains of thought. In deep meditation they become auditory alternate consciences that I can carry out a thought conversation with. They even have their own personality.
They used to be agressive but they've become more benevolent since I started meditating.

Do you have a reason for meditating? Everyone has a reason to do so, and finding the inner self is another reason too, etc.

I'm trying to work up to sleep yoga, so I'm trying to quell my thoughts when meditating. I also do sensory awareness meditation but I've found that more internal forms dilate time more. On top of that it is a very calming practice, and I can focus harder and think clearly for longer periods of time the more I meditate.

Yes, also do remind yourself while you are meditating it opens many doors to spiritual things like telepathy, channeling etc.
Reason why you hear voices or thoughts, sometimes it is not yours and you need to know which is which. I used to research very well before meditating and knowing what i was getting into.

When I was little I heard screaming voices in my head; I still do if I tune in but in my case it was from my bloodline( I believe) because I obtained abilities from my mother and father. my father gave me intimidating eyes and my mom more mythical abilities like feeling presences around me and (I presume) the voices in my head.

I started meditating around 11-12, and i didn't know what meditating was about. I had to quiet my mind to hear these voices and thoughts better, then it ended up with telepathy. I then studied about meditation and telepathy around 17 and realized i was doing both in my pre-teen years.

For me it was always reverse, I would start meditating, doing the same thing with counting breaths.I would be in a certain relaxed state, feeling open and receptive, like everything can flow just right through me. I would enjoy this feeling for what it felt like approximatly 2, 2 and a half hours, only to look at the clock and realise it merely passed 25 minutes.
