      First experience of becoming Lucid

      Hello all,

A few nights ago i had my first Lucid Dream. I will now proceed to bore you all with the details. I remember being aboard a passenger plane bound for Dubai. As the aircraft descended, i peered out of the window to see a dark, vast, dried out landscape which looked like it hadn't seen a drop of rain in centuries. As the aircraft approached the runway i felt it rotate 180 degrees and immediately found myself sitting in the cockpit of what seemed like a military Helicopter, with two Pilots to my right in control and lowering the aircraft to the ground. This is when i said to myself "this is a dream, there is no other explanantion for what just happened. I then looked at the display in the cockpit and every time i looked away and looked back again, the numbers appeared to be different in both form and colour. I then proceeded to smack the pilot nearest to me across the head. Bizarre, but i found it amusing at the time.

As many have expressed on the forum, it is hard to contain your initial excitement when you first realise you are dreaming. I found it difficult to control the dream or to even think about what i would like to do with it, as if i was experiencing some form of mental block. After the point of smacking the pilot across the head, i found myself in Amsterdam. I remember walking through the city and the cafe's and bars were full of soldiers from the Allies and of German allegiance, who had died in the second world war, all of them still in their uniforms.

Hoping this means there are more LD's to come in the near future!

      PS

I had no control over what happened in Amsterdam. If i had i would have dived in the nearest coffeeshop for a Lemon Haze Ganja Rocket.

Congrats on the first lucid dream!
Do you have dream goal list of what to do in the dream? If you don't, make one, it's much better to have one and go through it from time to time and already knowing what to do once lucid, than using your lucid time for thinking something up, you can also type/write the most important goals of the moment before going to sleep and/or use them as mantra to increase chance of remembering them in the dream.
Also this tutorial: Dream Control Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views , has some information regarding dream control, check it out.
Good luck with your next lucid dream!
