      lucid dream experience

My first memory from this dream is standing and looking down the street where i live, and my first thought was: wow, this street has changed alot since the last time i saw it (which was yesterday, so that should have been a clear indication that i was dreaming ) it had sort of an urban feel although i live by the countryside. i proceeded to walk down the street and when i came to my house i saw my father, a man and a woman, they were each playing a guitar. each guitar was plugged in to a strange machine that amplified the sound of the guitars. i really cannot explain how they sounded, but i can say that i have never in my life heard such a good-sounding guitar.

They were sitting in the middle of the road (another thing that i should have reacted on) and playing a song that i really don't remember that well, only the sound of the guitars. i decided to go into my house and i saw Arnold Schwarzenegger talking on the phone with a big smile on his face ( my dream-self doesn't question anything it seems). however, when i went into the kitchen i directly saw that everything was reversed and dislocated, and so i shouted "i am dreaming!" i also remembered to stabilize the dream by touching things and saying " stabilize lucidity NOW" It worked!

I now saw that the scenery had changed, i was inside my grandparents house by the countryside, the place where i spent a lot of time as a child. and sitting at his usual spot was my now deceased grandfather. I asked him how things were and he replied " clear" ( he had been suffering from dementia for a long time before he passed.) this made me really happy and warm inside and i chatted with him for a bit. To talk with him again was the primary reason i wanted to lucid-dream when i first heard about it.

After some time another figure came to join the conversation, in hindsight i know that this was my very own dream-guide. he asked me if i we wanted to join him in a dream-safari. He said that we would visit " eight-miilion year old kingdoms and places that outdates your universe among other things"

Of course i was thrilled and said yes. And when my dream-guide reached out for my hand i grabbed it. and when i did, i woke up in my bed, awake.

just wanted to share the first lucid dream that held some importance for me.

Oh, and English isn't my first language, so thank you for bearing with me!

Congrats on the first lucid dream!
Dream-self not questioning much stuff is actually quite normal for the start, it will happen unless you can always keep awareness on some very high level.
Congrats on finding dream guide so quickly too.

I had a dream last night where on one of the streets in my neighborhood there was a little island, like the kind you see in parking lots. I thought "Was this here before? I don't remember it." I think the fact that we were questioning or acknowledging something was different is a good sign of progress.

yeah, bet you're right, with more training you should be better and better at discovering anomalies! One question though, is experienced lucid dreamers able to always tell if something is out of place?

With alot of practice, especially awareness practice, it's definitely an possibility, up to the point where it is possible to tell that it's dream right off the start, there are experienced dreamers that are always/almost always lucid in their dreams.
