Endless Dream Cycle + Dream check failed...

Some strange things have been happening with my dreaming lately.

I've been using the technique where you breath through your nose while your mouth is closed to check dreams for years now, and it's never failed.

The other night I had a dream where I went to do the check, and I *could* breath, but it was a dream (definitely). I was aware of two sets of arms through, only one visible to me, and I wonder if that was why....

The stranger thing is that this occurred during one of my endless dream cycles. What I mean is, I'll "wake up" from a dream, and still be dreaming. This will happen over and over. It's strange because at first I get frustrated (mainly because this *tends* to happen when I need to pee in real life, and I'll notice the cycle because I'll keep having to pee in the dream and I won't feel relieved)... but once I realize it's a dream, I have the most control of any dream since even if I "wake up", I'm 100% sure it's still a dream. I've been able to do the most absurdly illogical things (flew into a black hole with my dad while explaining to him that it's weird that I'm actually talking to my own mind.. he was trying to argue with me that he's really my dad, and I kept cracking up).

The annoying part is that I really can't wake up sometimes. I'll try jumping off a building, etc, and I'll "wake up" and still be in the dream. Especially when I need to go to the bathroom, this is SO frustrating. And a little scary because I saw the movie inception and get nervous that I'll be stuck in a dream forever...

Curious if people have had a similar experience.

      Congrats on the lucid dreams!
Don't worry, you will not be stuck in the dream forever this way, it's not like inception or somesuch. False awakenings can be sometimes very confusing indeed though, but they are also good for lucidity when using them properly.
Are you sure that you really need to pee in waking life though? Because if you physically needed that i am pretty sure you would have woken up naturally.
Maybe you are focusing on that too much and dream recreates that feeling, once i had feeling of somebody trying to wake me up and that made me wake up in false awakening... and then i woke up again, this time in waking life, but there was nobody in the room. I have had quite chains of false awakenings though at some points, my maximum was 7 or 8 i think.
As for reality check, i haven't heard about that one you are using, but when you do it, do you do it just as an mechanical action? Reality checks should not be practiced just as mechanical actions. Before doing reality check in waking life look around and completely believe that you could be dreaming at the moment, then put emotions into it, think 'Wow, am i dreaming?', then do an reality check, and while doing it fully expect it to show you that you are dreaming.
