I've heard that you can wake up by closing your eyes in the dream, or by shouting out loud, "I will wake up!" If I'm having a nightmare I'll usually turn around and give whatever person/creature that is scaring me a hug, and ask them what I can do to help them. That usually turns them into something helpless, instead of scary. |

Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives. ~William Demen
All men whilst they are awake are in one common world: but each of them, when he is asleep, is in a world of his own. ~Plutarch
A ruffled mind makes a restless pillow. ~Charlotte Brontė
Sounds like you might have a confidence problem, maybe in real life, but in your dream you do. I found the only way to stop this is to turn and face the bad things in the dreams and make them sease to exist, like with blowing them up or creating another dreamscape. I personally think if you face these negative dream characters and succeed it might give you the confidence to face the stuff you may or may not be running from in waking life |
