      Lucid dream experimentation

I've recently gotten pretty good at consistently lucid dreaming so I've been testing the bounds of lucid dreaming. My lucid dreams usually start in the middle of the night randomly when I feel myself enter rem sleep and I feel the sleep paralysis come on. It feels like a foot falling asleep but it starts in my chest and goes outward. From there I roll over off my bed and fall on the ground and BAM I'm in the dream world. So I stsrt out in my room and I can do whatever! I have practiced my ukulele, solved math problems, changed the physics of the world etc. the past couple of nights I have been interested in pain. So last night I lifted my foot and smacked the bottom of it, and I felt a pain sensation! I wonder what it would be like for a more serious infliction ofpain.. But kinda scared to try that lol. I've also been curious about understanding my subconcious so I started to interact with the people in ,y dreams. Usually they don't talk back to me, they run away or something.Ive asked them what part of my subconcious they represent and they ignore me. Anyone else have better luck with this? I feel like I need to learn better control to help interact with my subconcious. Any tips? I'm really interested in trying to understand myself better through lucid dreaming and want to test some new things. Any ideas of what I should do next - something other than flying, sex, etc. I, looking for thing that will give me a better understanding of my subconcious mind. Thanks.

Yes, I'm looking to carry out many experiments; my ideas for experiments are very similar to yours, though I haven't reached the stage you are at yet. One thing I want to do is a continuation of the finger poke, where I poke my finger through my palm, then put my arm through my palm, then move my hand up (through my body) and take my brain out and destroy it.

      Here's a few I want to try:

      Have panoramic vision.
Be in two places at once.
Have my eyes leave my body and explore the dreamworld.
Be just a point of awareness with no body.
      Be an inanimate object.
      Be planet earth.
      Be a thought.
My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

At least you have dream characters. Unless I make an effort to spawn people in, my mind is barren.

interesting Mike. I've done a lot of experimenting with dream characters in the dream world and I'm constantly surprised at the outcomes. here's one from just a couple nights ago that I woke up and am still pondering; i walked into the dream via WILD and i find myself in a valley at the feet of some very large mountains. i feel an immense energy throughout my body like a wind about to carry me away it's so powerful. i also happened to try teleporting for the first time during this lucid. i looked at the top of the mountain nearest me and instead of flying up i decided to try teleporting. i closed my eyes for roughly 10 seconds and told myself that when i opened them i would be at the top of that mountain and when i opened them i was pleasantly surprised to find that i was. i looked down into the valley where i had been standing and see that it has several very large black tornadoes circling around and then i look to my right and am very surprised to see my high school friend Lee (we are both in our early 30's now) standing next to me and smiling. i say out loud "yeah!" and we high five eachother. then i tell him that i really feel like flying around in the storm and into the tornadoes but unfortunately he tells me that he doesn't want to which came as a surprise but here is where it got real weird and surprising. i tell him "well, i'm in charge here this is my dream and we're gonna go flying". suddenly he changes shape in front of me into a zombified/ demonic creature and tells me "you're not in charge of me" and lunges at me and we are grappling with eachother. i stay composed and i say out loud "no you don't look like this and you're no longer part of this dream." he shrinks away and vanishes completely. then i decide to summon him back and i find him back in his original state and i tell him ok ok i'm not in charge of you.
this is only one of many examples of experimenting with dream characters i could tell you about but it's my most recent one that really stunned me. it really felt like he was not just a part of my own mind but he was actually offended at me for thinking so. that's one of the great things i enjoy about lucid dreaming though, i ALWAYS wake up full of wonder and questions to ponder no matter how many or how normal they might seem. thanks for your post.
